"Gimme more Christy" I slurred, reaching out for another bottle.
Christy hiccuped and passed me the liquor.
"Now child, you really should not be drinking that." She giggled.
"Shuddup!" I hiccuped.
I looked around, my vision getting more blurred by the minute. All I could see was Christy sprawled out on her bed, and bottles all over the floor. I turned over and giggled when a wine bottle fell off my bed and landed on the floor with a thud.
"Oooppss." I whispered, downing the liquid in a second.

Christy had sobered up as much as she could, and she was at the payphones in the hospital. Trying as best as she could to get a hold of Nick.
"Come on, Come on." She whispered to herself. She heard a click.
"Hello?" A male voice asked.
"Nick?" She questioned.
"Yep, that's me." He replied. She breathed a sigh of relief.
"It's me, Christy. Listen you have to get over to the hospital as soon as you can!" She said quickly.
"Why?" He demanded. She sucked in a breath.
"Laurel has alcohol poisening Nick. She has to get her stomach pumped! Right now she's unconscious." She informed him, tears stinging the back of her eyes.
"Oh god..I'll be there as soon as I can!" He said urgently, slamming down the phone. Christy cringed slightly to herself, and placed the phone back on it's hook.

"Christy!" Nick called, as he hurried down the hallway. She turned around sharply, heading in his direction.
"What's wrong with her? How is she doing? Why did she get so drunk in the first place?" He shot rapid fire questions at her, in a panic.
She grabbed his arms. "Nick, calm down first." She reasoned with him. She looked over at the chairs, and guided him over to them. Nick sat down right on the edge of the chair, eager to know everything.
"It's all my fault.." Christy cried, wiping at her eyes. "I wanted a drink and I got drunk, and I made her drink too. And then she drank too much!" She cried on, her breath coming out in short gasps.
Nick latched his hands onto her.
"Calm down Christy, Let me go talk to a nurse." He said, standing up and heading over to the nearest nurse.
***************
"Well she is going to have to get her stomach pumped." The nurse told him, as she scurried between rooms. Nick grimaced.
"And she might not make it, as you know." She continued as she closed the door shut of the room behind her. Nick's mouth dropped.
"What?" He shrieked. The nurse cringed. He apologized quickly.
"Well sir, Ms. Quinn had an immense amount of alcohol." She explained. Nick couldn't handle it, he walked away from her quickly, needing to be alone.
***************
Nick sat outside on the bench, holding his head in his hands. The thought of Laurel not making it scared him, she was the first girl he had ever had feelings for.
"Nick?" A soft voice called out into the darkness, Nick snapped his head around.
"Laurel?" He asked loudly. He heard a laugh, and then she came beside him. His face dropped when he saw it was just Christy.
"Nope not Laur, just me." She said, digging through her purse.
Nick looked at her questionably.
"Looking for cigs." She said sheepishly. Nick just nodded.
"Do me a favor...." He started.
"Sure, what can I do?" She asked, placing the cigarette in her mouth, before lighting it. She closed her eyes and inhaled.
"Keep Laurel away from those." He said curtly. Christy almost choked on her breath. "I just don't want her to become a real hooker." He explained.
"Nick, I hate to break it to you but.." Nick cut her off.
"No Christy, I know what you're going to say. But Laurel is not the kind of hookers I avoid. She's still sweet, kind...everything. She hasn't let this business change her, and I love that about her. I'm still hoping one day she will quit. She doesn't get involved with drugs and alcohol." Nick said wryly.
"Except for tonight." He said harshly. Christy gulped.
"It's not her fault, it's mine." Christy confessed. "And Laurel really is a good girl." Nick smiled at that.
"How is she?" He questioned. Christy popped another cigarette in her mouth.
"She's getting her stomach pumped right now." She said simply. Nick flinched, he hated just the mere idea of it.
"Oh." He said quietly. Christy put her arm around his shoulder giving it a squeeze.
"Don't worry hun. She will be fine." She assured him
