Band History

In the 1970's the band crossed the globe with world tours from Europe to Australia, playing with major acts from Kiss to Sammy Davis Jr.

President Richard Nixon really loved Frijid Pink and had the band come to Washington D.C. for a meet and greet.

Frijid Pink performmed at three rallies for Nixon, Chicago, Toledo and Miami.

House of the Rising Sun was recorded in one take at the end of the recording session after the engineer asked what they wanted to do with the four minutes of blank tape that was remaining. "House" was to be in the live show and was never intended for recording.

The first album was recorded at Media Sound in New York where the band stayed and partied with the likes of Janis Joplin , Rod Stewart and many others.

The third album "Earth Omen" was recorded at the Osmond families' private studio in Utah.

The backup singers "Dawn"(Thelma Hopkins and Joyce Vincent) sang with Frijid Pink for many recording sessions and actually had joined the band for a short time before leaving to back up Tony Orlando with his hit musical, variety, television show.

Frijid Pink is etched into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on the "One Hit Wonder Wall"
