About gig101 >>>
gig101, formed in the glorious summer of 2003, is a web site that specialises in alternative rock music.
The site is based in London and Nottingham in the UK.
Currently there are 4 writers on the gig101 team - The editor and site owner Jeremy Lloyd, Luke Ingram, Stuart Davey and Dan Hanson.
We all have slightly different tastes in music, so whatever your rock tipple - 'art rock', 'emo', whatever - we should have it covered in some form or another.
If you would like to join the team, you should send some work of yours to jeremylloyd@yahoo.com and if it's any good you'll hear back from us. Please note that gig101 has no funds whatsoever to pay for contributions!
The aim of this web site is to establish a forum where alternative music fanatics can come to and discuss a hot new band or an amazing gig they've been to. We have a fully functional message board so it would be great to see some heated (or not so) debates!
If you would like something to be reviewed, be it a gig or a recording, let us know and we'll do our best to cover it.
We are also looking to start a small unsigned bands section, so get those demo tapes coming in!
If you've got this far, why not check out our individual profiles? There's all sorts of stuff on there, but basically they're just forums for our slightly overblown egos. From L-R: Jeremy Lloyd, Stuart Davey (yes, that is a Killers set list he's holding), Dan Hanson, Luke Ingram >>>
