Concert Info
Theres a funny story involved with the concert I went to and my first experiance with Graham Colton. not very long ago on November 25th, 2003. I was at the 9:30 club in Washington D.C. to see Jason Mraz.
Theres a balcony with a guarded curtain to the backstage stairs, and we were standing right near it. Tristan Prettyman, the first opening act was playing and there was this guy standing at the backstage area, smoking a ciggarette. I thought he was a backstage helper or something, and we were staring at eachother from like 5 feet away. Tristan finished her act and I see this guy run down the stairs, followed by some other guys, I could hardly see because there was now only a slight crack in the curtain, since the man had shut it after he was done with his ciggarette. A half a minute later, this guy appears on stage with a guitar. I have never felt so stupid in my life. The guy turned out to be Drew, the guitarist. Anyways, the band played and completely blew me away. It was amazing. At one point Graham climbed onto these speakers and was at the perfect level to the balcony where my friends and I were standing. We flipped out, took pictures and just stood there with our mouths wide open. I bought the CD a few minutes later. Needless to say, they blew me away and I've learned to never confuse a guitarist from an amazing opening act with a backstage helper.
