(This scene opens on Rain. We see her jerk back violently into Howie, trying to catch her breath. We see the blurry, fast moving images of her new vision- Madness is screaming and waving a sword around violently… next we see Gabrielle hit the ground. The vision ends and we come back to Rain, gasping for air)
Rain: (glances up to Howie) We have to get to Gabrielle, now.
Howie: (to Rain softly) Where did it look like they were?
Rain: (looks up) On the roof…
Nick: (serious) Lets go.
(The group head for the emergency doors at the end of the corridor and this leads to a spiral set of emergency stairs. Everyone begins to climb them, until they meet the end where they face a wall. The first to get up is Nick and he grips the edge of it to flip himself up, helping the girls. Both Brian and Reese leap up beside the others that have made it. Brian is gasping from the fear and exileration. Everyone eventually makes it up onto the roof and there is a swift turn so that thee warriors are now facing Madness- At the edge of the roof, we see Astrick holding Gabrielle over the rail- we see with her eyes the traffic below where all the traffic is rushing down the street furiously)
Nick: (races forward) GABRIELLE!
(Madness throws her hands out at Nick, thrusting him to the end of the roof with power and strength)
Madness: Insolent HUMANS! (to Astrick) You will let her go or I will throw you from this building!
Astrick: That isn't much of a threat, Madness.
Kevin: (confused) What's going on here? (to Astrick) What the hell are you doing with Gabrielle?
Astrick: Teaching you all a VERY valuable lesson. (bends Gabrielle down further) That you should never let emotions rule the fight. Look what it's done to one of your warriors, and a supposed sorceress. (During this we see a cut of Nick, lifting up painfully, than a shot of Madness, shaking her head)
(This scene focuses on Rain as she she is jerked back with a vision that thrusts her forcefully into Howie. He catches her and we see the vision after Rain shuts her eyes- Fast, blurry images show Madness swinging a lazer blaster frantically- next shot we see Gabrielle hit the cement. Rain comes out of the vision and her eyes blink open. We see Howie gazing down at her and she gasps.)
Rain: We have to find her...
Howie: We will, just tell us what you saw.
Rain: (lifts herself up with the help of Howie) I saw Madness, and Gabrielle... they looked like they were on the roof.
Howie: (holds Rain close to him) It's okay, just take it easy now.
Rain: (releases a few tears and rests her head against Howie's arm) We have to find her, Howie.
Howie: (nods) shush now.
(Nick motions the group to the end of the corridor where we find double doors that lead out onto a set of emergency stairs. They all head out and climb the stairs to the top where we hear a faint scream. Nick immediately grips the edge of the roof and flips his body up onto it. He waits for no one as he disappears. Everyone in the group find their own way onto the roof and we watch as Howie carries Rain on the roof and both Reese and Brian leap up with the knowledge of the power- we hear Reese squeak from the exileration of the jump. The group runs to Nick to find him staring into the eyes of Madness who is glaring at him... this scene pans to Astrick holding Gabrielle threateningly over the edge of the roof)
Nick: (races forward) GABRIELLE!
Gabrielle: (flails her arms out helplessly) NICK!
Madness: (throws her hands out to thrust Nick across the roof viciously) Insolent HUMAN! There is nothing you can do, you understand? (turns to the others) You can all do nothing.
Nick: (gasping as he lifts) How do you know what we're capable of doing?
Madness: (angrily, she thrusts a finger out at Nick) Because I know you LOVE her! (lowers her head) We can all do nothing.
Astrick: (laughs) You're all FOOLS! I told you, I warned you what emotions can do to the fight. You'll all fail now, won't you?
Gabrielle: (struggling) Astrick, you of all people should know that being a warrior means you fight from the heart. It's not just a job... it's a destiny.
Astrick: (slaps Gabrielle's face) Shuttup! You are a FAKE! (points to all the girls) You're all fakes! This was not the plan, you understand? Someone went against me!
Nick: (demanding) What the hell are you talking about, Astrick?
(A focus lands on Rain, who is standing close to Howie with her head on his shoulder. Next we see Chastity clutching Kevin's arm tightly- Next focus is on Destiny and AJ, and Destiny is standing, ready to fight in front of AJ. Reese is the next to be shown with Brian, he hashis arm around Reese's back. All are glaring at Astrick- The next scene is on Nick who is standing with his sword in hand. The last to be shown is Gabrielle staring at Nick with admiration in her eyes)
Astrick: Look at all of you. You are all drowning in emotion because of these MISTAKES. (points to each of the girls)
Destiny: (angrily, steps forward) Mistakes or not, we can still kick your ass.
Chastity: (adds) There's a lot of power in this group that there wasn't before that could beat you down in one shot.
Astrick: So sure of yourself aren't you, girls? But that's all you are... just girls, just FANS. (motions the crowd of girls forward) Come on do your worst!
(Chastity, Reese, Destiny and Rain rush forward, but the moment they get close to Astrick, he lifts Gabrielle all ready to toss her off the roof)
Chastity: (screams) NO!
Rain: (stops to hold her hand to her mouth) Astrick, no...
Destiny: (drags out her lazer blaster) Let her go!
Reese: It's four against one, Astrick. Who do you think will win?
Astrick: (smirks) I die, Gabrielle dies.
Destiny: (glances to Madness who still looks defeated) Come on, Devyn! You know this guy... help us! Help your friend!
Madness: I can do nothing.
Astrick: (snickers) You can never do anything.
Gabrielle: (speaks through it all) Stop letting emotions rule the fight!
Everyone except Astrick: What?
Gabrielle: That's right! You all have a job to do and you know it! Do it because you're warriors and it's what you're meant to do.
Nick: (shakes his head) That can't be justified.
Gabrielle: (gasping) Nick, be courageous, be strong, but please... don't let the one emotion over rule it all and not let you win...
Nick: What emotion?
Gabrielle: Fear.
(Nick turns to the others and we can see there is fear in his eyes. Madness who has listened to Gabrielle's words finally screams)
Madness: It's YOUR fault! (directs a finger to Astrick)
Astrick: (angrily) What?
Madness: You killed my only son! You used this on me and thought I wasn't strong enough to fight it... I lost him because of you... I couldn't save him and you... (chokes on a sob) You wanted someone else so you betrayed me and killed the one thing that meant the most to me I left hoping, I would never have to face you again, but now... now I'm glad I am after all those years of... (shakes her head and steps towards Astrick)
Astrick: (tries to pull back) Stay away from me! I owe you nothing, WITCH!
Madness: (sadly) And... I owe you this... (she reaches forward to pull him into a kiss) I love you.
(She steps back and with speed she races towards him, thrusting her hands to his shoulders to knock both him and herself off the roof. We hear Gabreielle's scream and Nick comes tearing forward to grab her before she can be dragged over with the others. She grasps on around his neck, sobbing into his shoulder)
Nick: (kisses Gabrielle's face thankfully) Madness saved your life and ours... I can't believe she did it.
Gabrielle: (sadly) She lost, though... there was so much... (lowers her head) He won, Nick. How could he win?
Nick: He didn't win, Gabrielle. (Gabrielle looks up into Nick's face) He's foever faced with his guilt and... she's free of hers.
Gabrielle: (closes her eyes with a small smile) Yeah... she's free.
(Cut to Brian and Reese, he has come up behind her to place his arms around his shoulder)
Brian: So you still wanna be a warrior?
Reese: (grins) Yes, but only if... we do good and fight from the heart, with nothing, but emotion.
Brian: (agrees) No other way.
AJ: (hugging Destiny) I think we better tell the girlfriends now.
Howie: How do we explain this, though?
Nick: We tell the truth, AJ. There's no other explanation. It was just... destiny. (looks down to softly kiss Gabrielle)
AJ: The truth hurts.
Nick: Maybe, but we don't want to end up like Astrick. Lets not try to defeat the heart.
AJ: Gotta agree with that.
Howie: (smiles) Nick makes a wise point which isn't very often, so lets take advantage.
Nick: Shuttup! I'm wise!
Gabrielle: (cooing) Yes you are.
Nick: See?
Brian: Hey guys what do you think Leanna would've thought about this?
AJ: Yeah, man we kinda nuked her husband.
(Brian smacks AJ's arm for his rude remark)
Nick: She should've been here... I think she would've been proud.
(Nick and the rest of the warriors, turn to make thier way to the emergency stairway and in the darkness Leanna appears with a smile)
Leanna: (softly) I am very proud... but you have a long way to go as warriors and a lot more battles up ahead. Find yourselves. Find your destiny…
