(Everyone ends up in the parkade of the hotel, but Nick’s arms are empty. Gabrielle is gone from the group and we see Astrick appear out of the shadows)
Nick: (searching all over the parkade) GABRIELLE!
Astrick: (calmly to Nick) She’s gone.
Nick: (in a panicked rage he rushes at Astrick) Where the hell is she? Where did you take her? Tell me!
Astrick: (steps back, still looking calm) I did nothing. Madness is obviously behind Gabrielle’s disappearance.
Nick: (gasping) We have to find her. We have to get her back.
Astrick: They could be anywhere Nick. Any other world and I don’t think you realize how many there are.
Nick: I don’t want to hear that, Astrick. We will find her, ya understand that? We can’t let Madness hurt her.
(Cut to AJ stepping up to Nick in comfort)
AJ: We could be too late to do anything.
Destiny: (shakes her head) Devyn wouldn’t harm Gabrielle.
Nick: (angrily) I watched her harm Gabrielle. (drops to the floor) I hate myself…
Destiny: Nick…
(Cut to Kevin, coming closer to press a hand on Nick’s shoulder)
Kevin: Hey man, don’t say that. We’ll do what we can to find her.
Nick: (shakes his head morbidly) I should’ve saved her when I had the chance. I’m a coward.
Kevin: It wasn’t a fair fight.
Astrick: Forget it for right now.
Nick: (bolts up) NO!
Astrick: (firmly) Nick, you have no idea what kind of power Madness withholds. If you throw yourself in her way without thinking she’ll kill you.
Nick: (Matter of fact tone) Fine than I’ll die, but at least I’ll die trying rather than just standing there.
Astrick: (anger cuts into his firm tone) Stop it! You had no choice. What you did was for the good of the warriors. Understand that and deal, it’s all you can do.
Nick: I don’t want to deal, Astrick. I want to find her and help her.
(Nick exits into the elevator and we see Brian running after him)
Brian: Hey Nick! Wait up!
Astrick: (firm to Brian) Leave him be, Brian. He needs this time to deal, think and plan.
Brian: I did…
Astrick: For the best of the warriors.
Brian: But I… (glances to the elevator)
Astrick: No more of this! You are warriors and you will take your actions like warriors.
(Cut to each of the girls who are trying to understand the stone in Astrick’s voice. All of them watch as Astrick enters the elevator)
