(This scene begins later on with the warriors emerging from each room down the hall. We see Destiny, Rain, Chastity and the surprise warrior as the last to come into the group. The “Boys” come up behind the girls all morphed in their warrior forms)
Reese: (pulls at the material of her tight outfit) Did these things have to look so seductive?
Chastity: I like the feel of it.
Reese: I need a second opinion.
(close up on Brian)
Brian: You look sexy, honey.
AJ: You’re all looking VERY sexy.
(Close up on Nick at the front of the group)
Nick: (waves his hands) Hey! Gabrielle, just disappeared, can we get going?
(next cut we see the group walking in slow motion down the hall. Cut to a back view as they split up to take different routes to the Parkade. Cut to the elevator doors opening into the Parkade- Nick, Kevin and Chastity are all together in their search for Gabrielle)
Chastity: (softly) I didn’t see anyone follow us.
Kevin: We should be okay than.
(Close up on Nick’s concerned expression)
Nick: Come on, we’ve gotta hurry.
(The group find the exit and run out of the parkade. We follow them outside and a loud rustling is heard behind them)
Nick: (stops suddenly) I heard somethin’
(Everyone goes quiet listening for a sound, but they hear nothing)
Chastity: (turns to Nick) Your worry is getting to you.
Nick: (shakes his head) I don’t know… right now it doesn’t matter, does it? We have to find Gabrielle.
Kevin: (nods) And we will, man.
(The group continue on, and footsteps are heard behind them that make them all stop in complete silence)
Nick: K, that’s it. (yanks out his sword) Don’t think I’m afraid of you.
(The noise gets louder and Nick follows the sound until he has confronted Naomi. She releases a scream of terror and he grabs her to place his hand over her mouth)
Nick: (hisses) What the hell are you doing here, Naomi?
Naomi: (scared and small, but certain voice) Wondering what the hell you are all doing and wearing. Who’s Gabrielle?
Nick: (demanding) Shush!
Naomi: She’s your new mistress, isn’t she? Was that who you were with last night?
(Out of the shadows, Gabrielle emerges to remark)
Gabrielle: Oh yeah, but we’re both mutually sure it meant nothing. (sneers at Nick) Right, Nicky?
Nick: (shoves Naomi behind him) I can’t say I agree.
Gabrielle: (giggles) I’m so glad you brought friends. It’s so much more of a challenge.
Nick: (threatening) You won’t hurt them, ya understand?
Gabrielle: Oh sure, now you grow a back bone. (shrugs and whips her sword out in front of her) Which one first? (shifts her eyes to each of the warriors, than to the innocent, Naomi, now hiding behind Nick)
Nick: (steps forward) Me! Come on, you wanna fight? You’re ON!
(Gabrielle rushes forward and Nick’s sword clashes heavily with hers. Chastity and Kevin formulate a plan as they wait for the others to arrive and outnumber Gabrielle)
Naomi: (watching the fight in awe) Ohh, I didn’t know she was bad.
Chasitity: (to Naomi) She’s not. Gabrielle is under a spell and you woudn’t understand anyway, so why am I telling you?
(Kevin presses his hands on her shoulders to comfort her and Naomi watches with a knowing look)
Naomi: (shakes her head and mumbles) I knew it.
(Both Kevin and Chastity glare at her. Cut to Nick and Gabrielle, fighting hard against each other. Gabrielle is smirking at him)
Nick: (thrusts his sword near Gabrielle’s stomach and she easily blocks it) What the hell is so funny?
Gabrielle: You. I know you can’t do it.
Nick: What?
Gabrielle: (grips the point of Nick’s sword and pulls it straight to her stomach) KILL me. Can you? (pulls it closer, until the point begins to bury itself into her skin. Nick gasps) How did it make you feel for me to tell you I love you? Did it hurt?
Nick: (growls) I’m not telling an evil bitch like you what I felt.
Gabrielle: (leans close to Nick’s face) I have a surprise for you. (whispers) She loves you to death.
(Nick gasps and yanks the sword away. In his weakness Gabrielle grabs him by his neck and thrusts him to the ground. He groans, and reaches back for his sword when Gabrielle lands on him, forcing him to stay down while she takes up the amulet)
Gabrielle: (smiles wickedly) And you know what else? She is never coming back… EVER. (Gabrielle laughs cruelly)
(Nick throws his sword into hers and she falls back from the impact. His amulet remains around his neck)
Gabrielle: (still laughing) So… how does it feel to lose?
(Around the crowd the others have arrived and are closing in on the fight)
Nick: (gazes at Gabrielle) I haven’t lost, yet. Madness did this to you.
Gabrielle: There is nothing Madness did!
Nick: Madness is using you and hurting you and she will eventually…
Gabrielle: (grips around Nick’s throat) SHUTTUP! You have no right to say those things, no right! I know what happened and YOU… you have no idea!
Nick: (softly) She took you from us… from me.
Gabrielle: She needs me.
Nick: You’re WRONG!
Gabrielle: (angrily) You’re just like him, aren’t you? You could care less about me, when I needed you the most you left…
Nick: Not by choice! I wanted to…
Gabrielle: (softly, to herself) I know she’s doing what’s best for me. She doesn’t want me to get hurt, like she got hurt by him.
(Cut to Brian, glancing to Reese)
Brian: Who is she talking about?
Reese: (shrugs) I’m as much confused as you are, honey.
Kevin: (breaking through the fight with words) Who are you talking about, Gabrielle? Who’s HIM?
Nick: (grabs Gabrielle’s hands when she turns to face Kevin) Gabrielle… who do you mean? Who hurt Madness?
Gabrielle: (brings her eyes to Nick and there are tears standing in them) Astrick! (screams) And you’re just like him! (Gabrielle scrambles away from Nick, clutching her sword close to her)
(Cut to Nick, ceasing the group from grabbing Gabrielle. He runs up to Gabrielle and grabs her shoulders to spin her around and face him)
Nick: (concerned) Tell me why I’m just like, Astrick?
Gabrielle: (tries to escape Nick) LET ME GO!
(Madness appears in the middle of the circle and grabs Gabrielle roughly away from Nick)
Madness: (angrily to Gabrielle) There is nothing they need to know.
Gabrielle: He is the reason for all of this.
Madness: STOP IT! (shakes Gabrielle’s shoulders)
Gabrielle: (whimpers) I’m only doing what you ask.
Nick: (threatening) And if you do that again, you’re going to regret it!
Chastity: (agreeing) We’ll all make you regret it.
Reese: (arrogant) You don’t look all that tough.
(Madness screams and throws her hands out, thrusting Reese, and Chastity into the air. The two scream and both Brian and Kevin race forward to catch the warriors)
Reese: (gripping onto Brian’s shoulder) Okay, she’s tough. (looks to Brian) But not very pretty.
(Madness goes to turn her power on Nick and stops with a sly smile)
Madness: (pulls Gabrielle to her) She knows who to believe. I’m sure she forgot to tell you that we’ve known each other since she was five. I’m the only sister she has and she listens to me. (laughs at Nick) You understand that? She’ll only ever believe me. The best part is… (glances to Gabrielle) It’s killing you.
Nick: (ignores Madness and gazes at Gabrielle) Gabrielle, I know that some part of that spell is breaking and I have gotten through to you. I don’t know what was said or what was done, but I’m begging you to believe ME when I say that I never meant to hurt you or leave you and the last thing I would ever do is give up on you.
(Gabrielle’s eyes begin to lose their ice and she lifts them to Nick’s face)
Madness: (annoyed) Okay, enough small talk lets get this show on the road. (Madness throws a bolt of energy at Nick, but before it can hit him, Gabrielle runs at Nick throwing him down to the ground. The bolt heads for Rain who is immediately pulled out of the way by Howie. The bolt strikes a tree and everyone gasps as it falls)
Howie: (to Rain compassionately) Are you okay?
Rain: (nods shakily) Yeah…
Madness: (angrily) DAMNIT! Gaby!
Gabrielle: (lifts her head from Nick) Nick… I’m sorry.
Madness: (demanding) Get away from him!
Gabrielle: (gasping) NO!
Nick: (stares at Gabrielle) No need to apologize. (he grins)
Gabrielle: (shakes her head tearfully) Whatever I said to you before I…
Nick: (softly breaks in) It’s okay. (smiles sincerely) I’m okay. (Brings his hand to Gabrielle’s cheek)
Madness: (growls and steps forward, ready to grab Gabrielle) You’re coming with me! He’ll betray you!
Gabrielle: (grabs Nick’s hands to lift him up) No… he won’t.
(Madness reaches down when Kevin grabs her to throw her over his shoulder onto her back)
Kevin: Uh uh, you won’t be bothering them now.
Madness: (growls) You can’t defeat me, so why even try?
Chastity: (comes up beside Kevin) Maybe he can’t, but what about both of us?
(Brian, Reese, Howie, Rain, AJ, and Destiny surround holding their weapons to Madness)
Rain: What do you say to the rest of us?
Howie: Can we defeat you now?
Chastity: (grins) With all these pretty weapons?
Madness: (to Gabrielle, screaming) GABY! YOU BELONG TO ME!
(Cut to Nick and Gabrielle staring into each other. Gabrielle goes to turn her head when Nick stops her)
Nick: Gabrielle, she’s wrong.
Gabrielle: (sets her eyes on Nick) I know, but there’s a part of me, wanting to believe her.
Nick: (husky) Ignore that part of you.
Gabrielle: I can’t… and I don’t know if it’s the spell or me.
Nick: Don’t let her convince you of anything. She’s a sorceress and she knows how to use your mind against you. She can make you think things that you know aren’t true or say things…
Gabrielle: (gently) What did I say to you? Nick… I have to know so I can apologize and tell you it wasn’t true…
(Nick grips Gabrielle’s face to tug her into a sweet, romantic kiss, fisting her hair and dragging her close to him. The kiss loses it’s sweetness to blind passion and she thrusts the helmet off his head to tangle her fingers in his hair. Cut to the group turning one at a time to witness the embrace of the two warriors. The awe on their faces is apparent until more than half of the crowd have their eyes on the couple. Cut to Naomi catching her breath from behind Kevin)
Madness’ voice: (matter- of – fact) Emotions are such a powerful tool aren’t they?
(The group, now off their guard are pushed out of Madness’ way and she approaches the couple to lean close to Gabrielle’s ear. Gabrielle breaks from Nick with horror in her eyes)
Nick: (snaps his head up) Give it up, Madness it’s over.
Madness: (laughs) Oh is it? (snaps her fingers) Or is it that you just can’t face the truth.
(Gabrielle falls limp against Nick and he clasps his arms around her)
Nick: (pleading) Gabrielle, come on come out of it. She doesn’t own you the way she thinks she does. Gabrielle!
Madness: (waves her hand over Gabrielle’s face) Come on Gaby, it’s time to go home now.
Gabrielle: (opens her eyes and stands mechanically) Yes…
Madness: That’s a good girl. I will figure out another way to get my hands on my prize. Meanwhile I will make you feel better and you’ll be back to your good, bad self again. (grabs Gabrielle’s wrist to tug her along)
Nick: (stands up hurriedly and follows behind Gabrielle) Gabrielle, why are you letting her do this!
Gabrielle: Go away…
Nick: No! (grabs Gabrielle’s arm) Why are you walking away from me?
Gabrielle: Because… (stares blankly at Nick) I’m the only one she won’t hurt.
(Nick gasps and turns to see the others looking defeated… the scene ends)
