(We follow Nick, Gabrielle and Rain as they enter the restaurant, only to be stopped by a bodyguard who is standing stiffly by the front desk)
Bodyguard: I’m sorry, but this place is reserved for the…
(At this time, Nick pulls off his hat to reveal himself. The bodyguard smiles.)
Bodyguard: Go right in.
Nick: (nods) Thanks, man.
(As Nick is heading for his table he turns to see the girls get stopped.)
Gabrielle: (soft tone) We were just looking for…
Nick: (announcing) They’re with me.
Gabrielle: We are?
Nick: (nods) yep. (smiles)
(Gabrielle looks to Rain who is shrieking quietly. Immediately, the girls run to Nick taking their places on either side of him)
Nick: So where are your friends?
Gabrielle: Good question… (shrugs)
(A woman we notice as Laura runs towards them)
Laura: Nick! (throws her arms around Nick)
Nick: (out of breath) Laura… (pats her back)
(Close up on the table where Devyn is smiling widely to Gabrielle. There we see Destiny, Chastity as well as Kevin’s wife, Jennifer. Brian’s wife, Reese. AJ’s girlfriend, Naomi and Howie’s girfriend, Maria. )
Devyn: (stands up) What took you so long?
Gabrielle: (shocked) How did you…
Devyn: (smiles coyly) It’s called seduction. You should use it sometime.
Nick: (glances to Devyn) Do we know you?
Devyn: (to Gabrielle) Ahh I see you did use seduction.
Gabrielle: (blushing terribly) No I didn’t we kinda bumped.
Devyn: Oh yeah I’ll believe that like I’ll believe that you don’t want him with every inch of your being.
Gabrielle: (embarrassed, she avoids Nick to run to the table) Water, anyone have water?
Destiny: (from beside AJ) It’s okay, Gaby, Devyn had everything under control.
Gabrielle: (Grabs a glass of water off the table to gulp all of it down. She places it down) I need to sit down.
Jennifer: (stands up enraged) WHO ARE ALL YOU PEOPLE!
Reese: (grabs Jennifer’s arm) Calm down, Jen.
Jennifer: No! What is this? (yanks her arm away)
Maria: Can anybody explain?
Gabrielle: (apologetic) We are sorry we’ll…
Jennifer: Don’t be sorry, just GET OUT!
Kevin: (perturbed) Honey, sit down and compose yourself. These girls are fans.
Jennifer: (turns angry eyes on Kevin) I don’t care what they are! They need to leave.. Now!
Reese: (softly to the fans) You really should leave… (Nick interrupts with Laura following)
Nick: Don’t kick them out. (stops in front of the table) I invited them… (looks to Gabrielle)
Gabrielle: (looks away) We’ll leave, this is awkward.
Laura: Nick, this is crazy.
Nick: (runs to catch Gabrielle’s arm) Wait…
Devyn: (Laughs) I’m not leaving here until I get some action.
(Devyn sits on Kevin’s lap to stroke his cheek. Her eyes are directed into his with sexual intensity)
Devyn: Hey, baby ya wanna get outta here?
Kevin: (under a thrall) Yeah…
Jennifer: (going red with rage) KEVIN!
Gabrielle: (pulls from Nick) Devyn, you can’t do this.
Devyn: (smoothly to Kevin) Lets go cutie. (smiles)
Reese: Excuse me, this is really inappropriate behavior.
Devyn: (smirks to Reese) Oh shuttup. Just because you’re not getting some doesn’t mean I can’t.
(Reese glares at Devyn fiercely)
Gabrielle: That’s it, we’re leaving. (goes to grab Devyn’s arm, but Devyn pulls back and laughs hard.)
Devyn: You should take advantage, Gaby. I didn’t lead us here for nothing.
(Devyn leaves with Kevin and everyone stares after them with shocked faces.)
Nick: KEVIN!
Jennifer: You better get your ass back here or I’m LEAVING!
(Kevin doesn’t respond and soon we don’t see the couple.)
Gabrielle: (embarrassed and in a state of shock) Oh my god…
Jennifer: (stands to grab Gabrielle by the wrist) I hate YOU and I hate HIM! (points out the restaurant doors. She breaks down) I hate him… (lets go of Gabrielle and runs out)
(Nick rests a hand on Gabrielle’s shoulder.)
Nick: Are you okay?
(Gabrielle turns part way to face Nick and than leaves the restaurant)
Nick: Gabrielle?
Brian: Well lets do something. They couldn’t have gone far.
(Everyone gathers together surrounded by bodyguards as they leave. Cut to Maria, Naomi, Reese & Laura leaving to follow Jennifer.)
(Here we see that Gabrielle is searching the floor before the executive floor. The elevator doors open and she runs in to crash into Nick, again. She pulls back to stare at him, than forces her eyes to the keypad on the wall.)
Gabrielle: I can’t find them…
Nick: I was going to check our floor.
Gabrielle: (goes to touch the keypad and her hand lands on Nick’s. She quickly yanks it back.) I’m sorry…
(Nick presses the key to the executive floor and the doors close.)
Nick: Why did you leave?
Gabrielle: (sighs) Because I was terribly embarrassed, and felt partly responsible and I do not WANT you. (she looks at him, and shakes her head) I mean… Devyn’s never acted this impulsive before.
Nick: Maybe she’s hiding something.
Gabrielle: No…
Nick: Oh come on you don’t think she keeps secrets from you?
Gabrielle: I’ve known her a long time and you’ve just met her. Who do you think can be the better judge here?
Nick: Me, right now.
Gabrielle: I hate this. She’s not like this… I can’t see this being her.
Nick: (grabs Gabrielle to pin her to the elevator wall) Don’t you see what she’s doing to you? She’s got you under some kind of spell. You sound hypnotized.
Gabrielle: You don’t know me! (tries to struggle away from Nick) And you don’t know her so let me go! I’ll find her… I’ll help her…
(Nick cuts off her panicky words with a rough, yet passionate kiss, pinning her body to the wall with the pressure of his. After a short, fruitless struggle, she begins to respond as if the one person who has put her under a spell is Nick. She brings her arms around him while he massages her cheeks and tangles his hands into her hair. Gabrielle opens her eyes with realization of her rash actions and pushes Nick back. Both are breathing heavily)
Gabrielle: Oh my god! What am I doing? You have a girlfriend!
Nick: Like I care. (Grabs Gabrielle to continue the kiss)
Gabrielle: (shoves Nick back) No! We can’t do this!
(Nick touches Gabrielle’s hair and she slaps his hand)
Gabrielle: Don’t!
(The elevator doors open on the executive floor and Nick unlocks the gate. There is a slight pause before he turns and scoops Gabrielle up into his arms. She only needs to gaze into his eyes to know that she won’t be able to stop him or herself. They kiss intensely and Nick carries her to his suite. He unlocks the door and they enter. The door closes just as we hear the echo of Devyn’s laugh.)
