(Brian is awakened by Astrick who presses his palm to his forehead.) Brian: What happened? Am I still training?

Astrick: No.

Nick: (to Astrick) What Brian forgot to tell you is that he is afraid of heights.

Brian: (turns to Astrick with a sheepish grin) Yeah I guess that’s pretty important huh? (He sits up)

Astrick: A tiny problem is represented as a result but it’s nothing you won’t be able to fix on your own.

Brian: How can I fix it?

Astrick: Conquer it.

AJ: (offering) I could take you mountain climbing.

Brian: (shakes his head erratically) No… mountain climbing.

Astrick: (setting it straight) My advice to you, Brian, is to start off slow and work your way up.

AJ: (laughing) UP, UP, UP.

Nick: (demanding) Shuttup AJ or I’ll make you watch “IT”

AJ: (cowers) Okay, okay. (to Brian) sorry man.

Brian: (smiles) Don’t worry about it, bud.

Astrick: (confused) What is “IT”?

Nick: It’s a Steven King movie; a popular one here on Earth.

Brian: (nods) The book is huge too.

Astrick: Is it about Steven King?

Brian: No, it’s about a clown…

(AJ shrieks and covers his ears)

Astrick: (sarcastic) That’s sounds terrifying.

AJ: (panicky) It is, but we won’t go into it. (Scans the gym with his eyes) Where are Howie and Kev?

Astrick: Maybe they left to get some air.

AJ: No fair, I want air.

Astrick: Okay, we should all take a break anyway. We’ll let Brian rest and let AJ get air.

(AJ exits)

Nick: See ya AJ!

(Astrick analyzes the gym while Nick practices sword slinging by the rope hanging from the ceiling making sure to come close, but not to cut it. Brian watches with hope in his face that he may conquer his fear and discover his power.)

Astrick: (turns to Brian) Leanna was smart to choose the five of you. I’ve never seen people so determined.

Brian: We make it a habit to be the best at everything we try.

Astrick: That is a good attitude. That is the attitude of a true warrior.

Brian: Eeven one whose afraid of heights?

Astrick: (approaches Brian) Especially the one whose afraid of heights. That fear give you more leverage on your power, Brian. Everything you hate about heights will soon become everything you understand.

Brian: I like that concept.

Astrick: (glances to Nick) I like your team. You back each other up no matter what comes around. The strongest warrior is the one who can accept help.

Brian: (agrees with a nod) Were you ever a warrior?

Astrick: (laughs awkwardly than clears his throat) Not for as long as I’ve been alive.

Brian: How old are you?

Astrick: Three hundred and sixty.

Brian: WOW! I’m only 21.

Astrick: Wow, do I feel old…

Brian: Don’t worry you look good for three hundred and sixty.

Astrick: thee youngest person I know on my planet is sixty.

Brian: My cousin is three.

Astrick: It will take your cousin forever to get as old as me.

Brian: (laughs) She won’t get as old as you at least I don’t think she will. One day when you have a child with your wife…

Astrick: (turns away) That will never happen.

Brian: Maybe not now, but when you…

Astrick: It won’t so please drop it.

(close up on Brian’s eyes revealing his sympathy)

Brian: (trying to cheer Astrick up) Hey I got an idea. Why don’t we play some b-ball before the training continues today?

Astrick: (turns to face Brian) Basket… ball?

Brian: Yeah that’s it. Come on I’ll show ya how to win. (motions Astrick to join him at the far end of the gym where a Basketball net is set up above them) First, we need a ball.

Astrick: Okay…

Brian: See the game wouldn’t be basketball without the ball. Get what I’m saying?

Astrick: (nods) It would just be basket.

Brian: (laughs) Exactly.

(A ball bounces from the opposite direction and we see Nick standing a few feet away with a grin on his face.)

Nick: Mind I join in?

(Brian catches the ball)

Brian: Come on Nick lets show this guy a few tricks.

(Nick runs up to them)

Nick: (laughs) Only a few?

(The game begins leaving all three of them laughing and chasing after a stray ball. Astrick gets a few shots in as well as Nick and Brian. We see Nick and Brian showing Astrick a lot of their tricks. Next we see a close up of Astrick catching the ball in his arms to race towards the hoop)

Astrick: (howling victory) HA HA! I have the ball! Just try and get it!

Nick: (runs in Astrick’s direction) You’re on!

Astrick: Come on lets see that speed of your!

(Nick races in front of Astrick, but Astrick throws the ball over Nick’s head and into the net).

Astrick: Was that a three pointer?

Brian: One point.

Nick: (gasping) Cheap shot…

Astrick: (confused) What’s that?

Nick: (motions the spot Astrick is standing in) Look at that, you’re too close.

Astrick: I thought I was supposed to be close.

Nick: No, no, no you should be further away; that’s where the three pointers are.

Brian: (sympathedically to Astrick) Don’t mind him, he’s just jealous. (points to Nick)

Nick: I’m NOT jealous.

Astrick: He’s giving me good advice. If I want a lot of points I shoot from further away right Nick?

Nick: (beaming with pride) Right.

(Howie, Kevin and AJ enter)

AJ: HEY! How could you start a game without us?

Howie: Yeah, we weren’t gone that long.

Brian: Hey check this out; we’ve got six people now. Perfect amount to play a game of three on three.

(Kevin joins Brian and Astrick while Nick teams up with Howie and AJ. The game starts revealing that the six guys have gotten incredibly close as friends. Next, we see the game end with the victorious three –Brian, Kevin and Astrick.)

Kevin: (breathes heavily) Good work Astrick! (Gives Astrick a high 5)

Nick: (brags) I taught him all he knows.

Astrick: (gasping) It feels good to win.

Brian: Oh yeah! Ya got that right.

AJ: (takes a seat in the center of the floor) Now it’s time to see Brian’s gift. What kind of power did Leanna give him?

Brian: (shakes his head) I want to wait till I’ve conquered my fear if you don’t mind.

AJ: (impatient) Someone else than.

(Astrick chooses Kevin and brings him to a pile of ten, thick, big bricks)

Astrick: Take your time Kevin. You may need to relax before you attempt this challenge.

Kevin: If you’re thinking I’m gonna break these bricks with my head or something you better think again.

Astrick: That’s not what you’ll be doing.

Kevin: Than I’m relieved, but stumped. What am I supposed to do with these bricks?

Astrick: You will be crushing them.

Kevin: WHAT? That’s insane I can’t crush bricks.

Astrick: Gently rub a finger against your amulet.

(Kevin obeys and immediately begins to transform into an armored warrior wearing a red metal vest followed by red metal bars across his abs and the same color leggings. Included are orange metal gloves and elbow cuffs).

Astrick: (grins) Now lift the bricks and crush them.

Kevin: (lifts the bricks and mashes them into dust beneath his hands.) Wow! What d’ ya think of that guys?

AJ: I always thought you could do that without the help of super powers.

Brian: That was impressive, cuz.

Howie: I’m staying out of your way when you change into a warrior.

Nick: (anxious) Crush more bricks or twist think metal bars into funny looking animals.

Astrick: (laughs) No, no now we must challenge Howie and display to hi his very unique power.

Howie: (excited) Unique power, I like the sound of that.

(Howie approaches Astrick removing his amulet for his challenge)

Astrick: Do you have any idea of the power bestowed upon you?

Howie: By the way you’re talking I know I’m gonna like it. (he grins)

Astrick: Howie, I would like you to try and read my mind. What number am I thinking of right now?

Howie: (concentrates) seven.

Astrick: That was it! Good lets keep going… what color am I thinking of?

Howie: (concentrates harder) I think it’s…

(We see Howie jerk and we see the image that has enveloped his mind of a child racing for a door)(Howie comes out of it trying to catch his breath)

Brian: (worried) Howie? What happened, are you all right?

Howie:(gasping) I saw a child running from something…

(Again he is caught by an image of a little girl’s face. She is screaming for Rindi. Again he comes out of it out of breath and falls to the floor.)

AJ: (kneels beside Howie) Hey you all right buddy?

Howie: (glances to Astrick) Who… who’s Rindi?

(Astrick silences not saying a word)

AJ: What’s going on?

Astrick: It’s none of your business! My life stays private okay?

Howie: I saw…

Astrick: Ignore what you saw!

(Howie groans)

Brian: (to Astrick with concern) What’s wrong Astrick? Why all of a sudden are you so…

Astrick: Just do what I told you to do and I will see you all tomorrow.

(Astrick storms through the doors. Brian follows. The guys are all staring at Howie amazed by his gift.)

AJ: (confused) I’m just wondering how come you never told us about this power Howie?

Nick: Are you really psychic?

Howie: (groaning) I don’t know… but I’m starting to wish I never had a gift.
