About 5 minutes after they left Tania and Nick came back inside. She had a smile on her face so I was guessing everything went good. The rest of the day went pretty good. We all sat around playing with Jordan and talking. Nick came up to me and told me thank you for talking to Tania. I told him it was no problem.
*Brian’s POV*
Saturday August 25, 2001
It had been a little over a week since Emily had come back. Howie’s Birthday had passed and it went great we all had a ball playing in the pool and playing b-ball. There was just one small problem, I kept falling more in love with Emily everyday but I wasn’t real sure she felt the same. I knew it wouldn’t be long before I had to tell her she was getting suspicious of how I acted sometimes and everybody else could tell I loved her, which meant she probably knew too. I felt so incomplete when she wasn’t around but about the time she stepped into the room everything went better and I was complete. The divorce hadn’t gone through the court yet but it was supposed to within the next week but Cory had signed the papers. Emily had been really happy since Wednesday morning when Kelly called telling her Cory had given up all his rights to Jordan all Emily had to do was sign the papers that came in the mail the next morning, she signed them and sent them back. So she had full custody of Jordan. Soon she would have no ties to Cory. As soon as the divorce went through she was changing her name back to Winters. I hoped it would one day be Littrell and I could call her mine. Suddenly I heard my bedroom door open and I didn’t even get time to see who it was before their arms were wrapped around me. That meant it had to be Emily.
“Dani baby what’s wrong?” I asked. *Sh*t Littrell real good thing to call her*
“Oh my god nothing. Nothings wrong.” She said pulling away. I noticed the smile on her face and she was laughing not crying like I thought she’d be.
“So what is it?” I questioned again. *Thank God she didn’t notice.*
“The divorce went through and so did the papers that gave me full custody of Jordan!” She said very excited.
“That’s great!” I said sharing her excitement and hugged her.
“Jackie must think I’m nuts I didn’t knock or anything I just opened the door and ran upstairs.” She said giggling.
“My mom think your nuts? Girl she knows your nuts.” I replied laughing.
“Hey!” She stated pretending to be insulted. I heard a light knock on the door and told them they could come in.
“Is everything ok?” My mom said coming in.
“Yea everything’s great!” I said looking at Emily.
“Ok then may I ask why you came running in here so fast you about gave me a heart attack.” Mom said looking at Emily.
“I’m sorry Jackie I didn’t mean to. I’m just really excited the divorce went through.” She stated still smiling.
“That’s great sweetie.” Mom said hugging her.
“Thanks Jackie. I should probably go I got that call and ran over here and I left Jordan with my mom and everybody. So I’ll see you later.” She replied. “Oh and Mom and Dad said to come over about 5 we’re going to celebrate.”
“Ok Emily we’ll be there.” My mom said.
“Bye.” She said and walked downstairs with my mom.
*Emily’s POV*
I walked downstairs with Jackie and told her bye. I looked behind me figuring Brian was there like he always was. *Hmm I wonder why he’s not coming with me?* “Hey Brian you coming or what?” I yelled up the stairs.
“Oh yea I’m coming.” He said sounding a little surprised. *I wonder what’s going through that boy’s mind.* He came running down the stairs pulling a shirt on. “Let’s go” He said grabbing my hand.
“What’s gotten into you? First you don’t even follow me like you always do and now you’re holding my hand. You keep getting weirder as you grow older.” I said laughing.
“Hey! I take offense to that.” Brian replied laughing as we walked out over to my house.
“Hey Mom I’m back with my kick ass sidekick.” I yelled laughing.
“You are the sidekick Emily not me” Brian said smiling.
“No you are Brian.” I replied.
“No you are!”

“Emily Danielle Winters you are the sidekick!” Brian somewhat yelled laughing.
“No Brian Thomas Littrell you are the sidekick!” I replied laughing too.
“It never was the same without you two around.” My dad said as he walked into the family room where Brian and I were ‘fighting’
“I know.” Brian said. “So where is everybody?”
“Oh they’re outback.” Dad said. I started to ask where Jordy was but I didn’t even get a word out before I was answered. “Jordan is out there too.” He said smiling.
“OK thanks Daddy.” I said and kissed him on the cheek. Brian and I then walked outside after we made sure my mom didn’t need any help. We walked outside just in time to see Laura, Sariah, and Tania thrown into the pool by their boyfriends. I looked over to my right to see Kevin holding Jordan talking to him. I told Brian I’d be right back and started to walk towards them.
“You know Jordy you look so much like your mommy I remember holding her out her in this exact same spot when she was your age. She’s just like a little sister to me so when you start talking you can call me Uncle Kev. I hope Kristin and I have a baby within the next few years…” Kevin was saying as I walked up behind him. He didn’t know I was there and it was great to know someone other than mom, dad, and I cared and loved him.
“I’m sure you’ll have a baby in a couple years Kev.” I said standing behind him and hugging him.
“My God Emily Winters don’t scare me like that!” Kevin stated startled.
“Sorry I didn’t mean too.” I said laughing as the color in Kevin’s face started to come back. “How’s mommy’s baby boy?” I asked looking at him.
“How long were you standing there?” Kevin asked as I sat down across from him.
“Just since you were talking about how much he looked like me and you remembering me at that age.” I said. “Why was there something you didn’t want me to hear?”
“No, I was just curious as to how long you’d been there. I suppose you came over cause you want him back right?” He asked.
“No it’s ok you can keep him if you want.” I said as Kristin came out of the house with sun block in here hand.
“Ok then I will.” He said.
“Hey Emmy.” Kristin said sitting down beside me.
“Hey Krissy I was wondering where you were.” I replied.
“I was in getting sun block.” She replied with a smile.
“Well I know that now since you came out with it. Since you want Jordy would you mind putting sun block one him I don’t want him to get burnt not that he will since it’s not that hot and you guys are in the shade but could you still?” I asked.
“Sure I don’t mind.” She replied.
“Ok I’ll leave you two alone now. Oh and Kris, you got a fine catch be careful you don’t want to lose him.” I said smiling and started to walk over to Brian.
“I know.” She replied with a smile.
