CHAP 4
*10 years earlier*
The sun shined bright that day as they walked along the road..
"What are you doing?" Jenn said as Lance covered her eyes
"Taking you somewhere."
"Where?"
"Somewhere"
"Lance you suck you know that." Jenn laughed
Lance led Jenn into a field with tall grass and he brought her up to a big oak tree where they spent a lot of their early childhood days. Lance removed his hands from Jenn's eyes and she looked straight at the clubhouse they deserted two years ago.
"Lance......you remember" Jenn said
"Of course, I know we had this thing where we were to old to have a clubhouse but Jenn I like it and we have a lot of memories here."
"Yeah.....we did."
"And now we are going to have another one."
"What is that?"
"Jenn I brought you here not only to relive our old memories but to start new ones.....Jenn I want to be your boyfriend all the other guys I don't like.... it makes me mad to see you with them....Jenn I love you....and I want you to be with me."
"Lance, I love you too." Jenn said as they kissed under the sun and the memories they had.
*Present Day*
They walked along the darkness of the night. Laughing. They had not done that in a while and it felt good. They were back to their old ways, like they never broke up. They stopped at Jenn's doorstep.
"You wanna come in for a drink or something." she said unlocking the door.
"Sure" he said as he stepped inside
Barking came from the other room and Lance knew that bark from a mile away it was Poo-fu.
The Dalmatian dog jumped on Lance and licked him.
"Hey Poo-fu"
"I'm surprised he remembered you" she laughed
"Of course he does, I was the one that bought him."
* 6 years earlier*
"You sure you want this one." Lance said flipping through money in his wallet.
"Well it is our dog Lance, do you like him?" Jenn said holding the small Dalmatian puppy in her hand.
"I love him" He smiled and kissed Jenn
"Good, cause I do too."
Lance gave the money to the man who was selling them and they walked to Jenn's house.
"What are you going to name him?" Lance asked putting his arm around Jenn
"Poo-fu" Jenn winked
"Your joking right?" he laughed
"Do I joke?"
"Oh come on you know I hated that job."
"Yeah I know......but you looked cute in the costume."
"You think so?"
"Yeah"
*Back to Present Day*
"So what do you want to drink." Jenn said looking through her empty refrigerator. Kady and Caitlyn drank and ate everything again.
"Waters fine." He said sitting on a stool
Jenn poured water into a glass and gave it to him then went to the medicine cabinet and took her medicine.
"What's that medicine for ....you sick?" he asked sipping from his glass
"Uh....no... its for my allergies"
"I never knew you had allergies."
He had a point...."Well ya know when you get older everything goes." Jenn laughed......pretty good excuse she thought complimenting herself.
He knew she was lying but decided to let it go.
"Is that your room?" he said exploring the house.
"Yeah how'd ya guess?"
"Well the stuffed animal on your bed that I gave you when we were 5 tells me something." he laughed
"Oh yeah I almost forgot about that." Jenn said picking it up and remembering.
Lance traced his fingers along Jenn's dresser. He looked at all the pictures she had of them. One when they where 5 and they where eating ice cream, another when they were 16 and dating, another when they first built the clubhouse and another was taken when they where 18 a few days before she left him. He stopped at one picture......it was a picture of Jenn and him when they where 1 and in their diapers--hugging. He smiled as Jenn looked over his shoulder and saw the picture she laughed.
"Those were the good times huh?" she said
"Yeah we were innocent then." He grinned
"Yeah and then you corrupted me."
"I did not.....you corrupted me... you were the one that kissed me."
"Yes but you were the one that insisted on us loosing our virginity together; before you left to join the band." she said rolling her eyes
"Yeah you have a point."
"As always." Jenn smiled
"Yeah and I remember when my mom caught us and she flipped." Lance said thinking back.
"Oh jeez don't bring that up again, I swear she wanted us married right there and then."
"I wouldn't have minded" Lance said staring at her
"Me neither." Jenn smiled as Lance kissed her.
Before they knew it they were on the bed and he was on top of her, clothes almost off.
"What are we doing?" Jenn asked stopping was what going on
"Reliving memories." Lance said kissing Jenn
*7 years earlier*
They laid in each others arms inside there clubhouse wrapped in Lance's sleeping bag. He kissed her on the cheek and ran his fingers across her face and her chest. She woke up and stared in his eyes and smiled.
He smiled back and got up to get his pants and pulled something out of the pocket, then he walked over to a corner of the clubhouse.
"What are you doing." Jenn yawned
"Something...." Lance said as he opened his pocket knife and began etching something into the wood.
"And this something would be......"
"Something." he said looking back at her and grinning.
She put on her shirt and walked over to where he was and saw that he made a heart and was putting their initials inside of it.
"So what's this supposed to symbolize?" she said putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Tonight.........so we can remember this the rest of our lives.....since I will be gone a lot and stuff...."
"Lets not talk about that right now" Jenn said kissing him
"Ok." Lance said picking her up and putting her on his sleeping bag.
*10 minutes Later*
From outside the clubhouse there was a voice. "Lance..........Lance where are you.... JAMES LANCE BASS......where in gods name are you?"
"Oh shit, its my mom." he said putting on his pants
"Oh crap" Jenn said as she heard Lance's mom climb up the ladder.
"Lance is Jennifer up here with you her mom is.......oh my goodness." Diane said as she opened the clubhouse door.
"Hi Mrs. Bass" Jenn said waving
"Hello Jennifer" Diane said "Come on Lance, you have to leave early tomorrow."
"Yes Mom" Lance said as Diane left the clubhouse and waited for her son outside
"Well.....that was interesting....." Jenn laughed
"Well at least you were dressed." Lance said putting on his shirt.
"You'll be great......I know everyone will love you.....soon your posters will be hanging on the wall of clubhouses."
Lance laughed "I'll miss you so much, but we'll be together always. I love you Jenn" He said as he kissed her and walked out of he clubhouse to meet his mother.
"I love you too." she said as she saw him walk away.
*Present Day*
He watched her chest move up and down as she slept; he missed watching her sleep she always slept so peacefully like there was nothing bad going on in the world. He cuddled up to her; he didn't want to leave until she awoke; he didn't think it was right.
She opened her eyes and saw Lances head on her chest; what has she done, how could she be so stupid? Its funny the things you do when you in love; she thought to herself. She heard the TV on in the living room and rolled her eyes, Caitlyn and Kady were home, just great, she knew she was gonna hear it from them. Jenn moved a little to signal to Lance that she was up; he got up and put on his pants.
"What time is it?" He said in a groggy voice.
"11:45" Jenn said leaning over looking at her watch
"Shit, I have a flight at 12" Lance said putting on his shoes
"Then you better hurry" Jenn said tossing Lance his shirt
He caught it; kissed Jenn and walked out of the room. He saw Kady and Caitlyn sitting on the couch watching TV and eating cereal......"Fuck" he said to himself, he didn't have his shirt on, he prayed they didn't see him sneak behind them.
" Hi Lance" Kady said paying attention to the TV
"Lance? AHHHH" Caitlyn said spilling her cereal on the floor.
"Hey....and Bye" Lance said as he closed to front door.
"What the hell was that?" Kady said to Caitlyn who was cleaning up her cereal.
"I dunno but Jenn's got some explaining to do."
*LATER*
Lance ran through the airport to his gate and saw the guys standing outside it and he knew he had hell to pay.
"Where the hell have you been?" J.C. asked
"Guys I'm sorry." Lance said looking at the ground
Justin circled around him. "You were with Jenn weren't you?"
"What makes you think that?"
" I've known her for a while too Lance, and you have her scent on you" Justin smirked
"Go Lance." Joey said patting him on the back
"Damn" Chris said "Justin we should have spent more time with Caitlyn and Kady, they worried about Jenn the whole night."
"Guys could we just board the plain, I don't feel like talking about this now." Lance said giving his ticket to the attendant.
"Fine" They all said as they boarded the plane.
