Our
Heroes are Heroes Because is a progressive rock band from
Manassas, Virginia. Their sound has been compared to that of
Nirvana, Silverchair, Radiohead and Live, among others.
Comprised of Rick
Patoray (guitars and vocals), Matt
Carter (bass guitar), and Kenny
Thomas (percussion), their lineup has remained the same
since their founding in early 2002. In October of that same
year, their debut EP “Satisfied Customer” was released,
containing “Watermouth”, a single that is scheduled to start
in rotation on a Panama City radio station.
In January of 2003, Our Heroes are Heroes Because
recorded “Hash Once, Rehash”, an eclectic mix of grunge rock
and U2 style bravado. The CD was released in February 2003
featuring the single “Simple Alright,” a slower rock tune
that easily gets stuck in your head.
Our Heroes are Heroes Because has been featured at the
Patriot Center’s Y-Tour Playoffs, Jaxx Nightclub in
Springfield, VA, and the Spotlight Lounge in Woodbridge, VA,
among other venues.
Our Heroes are Heroes Because produce all their own
records, write their own songs, and promote themselves. They
don’t need no stinking manager, but any applications will be
fielded at OurHeroes@hotmail.com.
Rock and roll as it stands is lying down anyway so move over and
make some room for Our Heroes are Heroes Because...
