The History Of Live
Live came together in the mid 80's as a trio started by Chad Taylor, Pat Dahlheimer and Chad Gracey, then known as "First Aid" with the addition of Kowalczyk "Live" was then known as "Public Affection". In 1989 "Public Affection" released the self financed "Death Of A Dictionary"." Public Affection" then decided it was time for an name change and a reworking of their sound before they were signed to Radioactive Records. Live's first album "Mental Jewelery" complete where spiritual overtones were present was largly ignored. In 1994 Live released "Throwing Copper",produced like their debut by Jerry Harrison. In 1997 Live relesed "Secret Samahdi" an altogether darker sounding album which attained a double platinum status. In 1999 Harrison returned to co produce "The Distance To Here" which was avery experimental album. In September 2001 Live released its fifth album entitled "V"  a hard-grinding hip hop tinged album which had great commercial success however lacked in sales.. I believe that Live is the best band by far in the music industry today, no matter what critics say or weather they get played on Mtv on a daily basis. Live has had a steady fan base for the past several years of the most dedicated fans in the world. I believe when it comes down to it that is what matters the most.
