Beautiful Girl

- Ray Denning

Walking down the street today made me sick.
Filth of the world piled up so high, I couldn't handle it.
Not a cloud in the sky but the world just seems so black.
I stared in the eyes of a junkie and he staired straight back.
Wasn't the tracks on his arms or his cold dull eyes, you see
Something inside of him looked just like me.
When i start drowning in hopelessness and this world is just too much,
I break down in your arms again and sink into your touch.
Everyone I see has no heart or soul.
They'll stab your back and kick you when you're down, and it takes a toll.
They'll steal and cheat like dogs in the street.
Now I'm feeling like bare bones cause they tore away the meat.
Knowing I'm one of them, that's what's killing me.
Looking into the mirror and not liking what I see.
When i start drowning in hopelessness cause this world is too fucked up,
I break down in your arms again and you lift me up.
We all know it's an ugly ugly world.
I'm so glad I've got a beautiful girl.
And i don't where I'd be without my beautiful girl.
