Smylin Jack is a hard hitting Southern/Classic Rock band with a few surprises thrown in. Anything from the Allman Brothers to ZZ Top is played loud and played well. Close your eyes and let Ricky's vocals and Doug's guitar licks take you back to the days of albums and 8 tracks. Or just let Wayne's kick drum and Terry's bass move your feet onto the dance floor.

Check out our Schedule, chances are we will be playing near you soon.

Meet the Band

-Doug-

Doug's Rock Star good looks and pole grinding dance moves have all eyes on him during his guitar solos. We especially dig his unique fingering style and extremely long pedal board. Doug has been playing guitar for as long as we can remember. He has played in bands such as "Holy Moly","GVB" and "DivaMartini".

-Ricky

Ricky's philosophy: "You came to see a show and that is what you'll get" Ricky gives his all from the first song to the last. He gave up ballet for singing but you can still catch him twirling on stage between verses. You may have also seen his graceful moves and heard him sing with bands like "Lowdown", "Outta Touch", "GVB" and "Slider".

(no Picture -- YET )-Steve

Tiring of being an Evil Overlord, Steve turned his attention to playing in bands such as Conflicted Interest and Slider on his quest for total world domination. His penchant for spanking unruly females can be evidenced after the show by those who have been truly naughty...

-Wayne

Tired of beating on pots and pans, Wayne got a set of drums and has been keeping beat ever since for bands like "Holy Moly", "GVB", and the "Roadducks". Wayne is also our resident gadget guru. Come out and see what new toy he has added to our percussion section.

-Tommy

Our "Nashville Star". Tommy came straight off tour as Deena Carter's guitar tech to put the DEEP south in Smylin Jack's southern rock sound. His fiddle playing is unrivaled and he is the only fiddler we have found that can do back bends while playing "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" Tommy has also fiddled with "GVB".

lets not forget our soud guy Mike Dettinger.

Without him we wouldn't be heard. Mike is available for Weddings, Funerals and Bar Mitzvahs. He can be reached at: mikedett@verizon.net
