Buc Richards

Buc’s mother was a piano teacher so he never really had a chance in life. He played keyboards in numerous bands in high school. Dropped out of college to play keys in a band called Gypsy Rogue but quickly realized that he likes food with his meals. Decided to join the military and fly jets. Almost as cool as being a rock star but the pay is more regular (not to mention the retirement plan!) and you get shot at less. Copy: sellout. 10 years later, lots of alcohol, a war, a couple no-fly zones, a divorce, and travel all over the world (not the places in the travel brochures), and the only gig he played was sitting in with some Egyptians at the Abu Dhabi Hilton . Then one day he woke up on the floor of a bar in South Korea and thought, “Maybe if I was in a rock band, we could get some chicks to hang out with us in this shit-hole!” That was 1996 and he’s been playing guitar ever since. In 97 he arrived in Phoenix and since then has played in Hanna’s Hostage, Loft, and for the last 4 years, Steal Wool, the band he originally started on the banks of the Yellow Sea, in lovely Kunsan, South Korea.
