Brooke Ross of Chathem, Ontario because Miss Canada Int'l 1997 after the crown was taken from Emily Ryan. There was quite a story that went along with that year of the pageant.

Here is the original Miss Canada Int'l 1997, Emily Ryan from Innipolis Valley, Nova Scotia. She reigned only a little while before being dethrowned. She was supposed to attend the Miss World pageant however, she declined so a special titleholder has chosen to represent us at Miss World...

Keri-Lynn Power, Miss Newfoundland and Labrador 1994, represented Labrador in the 1997 MCI pageant. She represented Canada at the 1997 Miss World pageant.

Keri-Lynn was originally Miss NewfoundLand and Labrador 1994 and represented the province in the 1995 Canadian Search For Miss Universe pageant.

Keri-Lynn wore this gown to the 1997 Miss World pageant. It is an original design by Simon Chang and has over 200 sequins sewn onto it.

Eventually Emily Ryan lost the MCI crown and there was a new queen...

Second runner-up Brooke Ross was chosen as Miss Canada Int'l 1997. She traveled and made appearances throughout the year for the pageant and different charities. She has competed in several pageants over the years including Miss Teen Tourism World, Miss United Nations, and the Ontario Search For Miss Universe just to name a few.

Brooke hosted the 2000 MCI and MTCI pageant and continues to be very involved with the Miss Canada Int'l organization.
