Danielle House is certainly the best remembered Miss Canada International of all time. From the punch, to playboy, to her new acting career people still remember her and talk about her. She was definately one contervercial lady but gave the Miss Canada International pageant a huge amount of publicity. She is definately one woman that pageant fans in Canada will never forget.

After being sent away from one of the modelling agencies in Newfoundland, Danielle entered the Miss NFLD and Labrador pageant. To her surprise, she won! Beautiful Danielle in a black dress and with her hair up began to cry when when the announcer said she was the winner. Kerri-Lynn Power, Miss NFLD and Lab 94 crowned a very excited Danielle who took a very tearfilled walk across the stage.

Beauty queen admitted she hit woman -- police ST. JOHN'S, Nfld. (CP) -- Beauty queen Danielle House, left heartbroken by a recent break-up, admitted to police that she hit her ex's new girlfriend in the face at a university bar last fall, a court was told Wednesday. A 15-page police statement was read aloud in Newfoundland provincial court during the first day of the reigning Miss Canada International's assault trial. House, 20, has pleaded not guilty. In the statement, House was quoted as telling Const. Suzanne Bill that she was upset to find her former boyfriend Steve Taylor kissing Annalee Gosse at a Memorial University bar. She said she had taken the break-up hard, especially after learning Taylor had left her to be with Gosse. She was preparing to leave with her friends when someone told her that Gosse "wanted a piece of her." House said she asked Gosse if she wanted to talk to her but Taylor stepped in and put his arm up. "I hit her," House was quoted as telling Bill. "I only hit her once."

Beauty queen convicted, loses title ST. JOHN'S, Nfld. (CP) -- The glitter is gone from Danielle House's beauty queen crown. The crown is gone too. House was forced to relinquish the title of Miss Canada International on Wednesday soon after a judge convicted her of assaulting a woman in a university bar. Judge Greg Brown handed House a suspended sentence and placed her on probation for a year. "I'm sorry for what has happened these last several months," House told Brown before sentencing. House plsns to appeal the the ruling.

ST. JOHN'S, Nfld. (CP) -- Emotional and physical abuse had a direct impact on the events surrounding Danielle House's assault charge, the reigning Miss Canada International said Tuesday. She was charged Oct. 18 after a bar fight. The case is to be heard Nov. 8, but the pageant organizer has said that simply being charged has disqualified House from attending the event in Jamaica on Nov. 23.

Victim says she was punched five times by Miss Canada ST. JOHN'S, Nfld. (CP) -- Beauty queen Danielle House punched a university student five times during an unprovoked attack at a campus bar, a judge was told Thursday. Annalee Gosse, who was dating House's ex-boyfriend at the time of the October incident, testified the reigning Miss Canada International caught her off guard. Gosse said the blows struck her in the left forehead and cheek. She made her way to the bar exit and was joined by boyfriend Steve Taylor. There, Gosse said she was punched two more times in the face. The final blow left her with a bleeding nose. House, 20, has pleaded not guilty to assault causing bodily harm.

ST. JOHN'S, Nfld. (CP) -- A calm and collected Danielle House told a provincial court judge Friday she accidentally hit a woman in the face while trying to free her arm from her ex-boyfriend's grasp. House, the reigning Miss Canada International, was charged with assault causing bodily harm after an altercation with her ex's new girlfriend at a university bar last fall. The assault trial, originally scheduled to last one day, will resume Tuesday.

Danielle was later convicted and was stripped of her crown and title.

Danielle posed for Playboy Magazine after being convicted of the assult. She beared it all for the magazine and gave the Miss Canada International pageant even more publicity.

Danielle settled out of court with the woman that she fought.

ST. JOHN'S, Nfld. (CP) -- A dethroned beauty queen who later posed nude for Playboy has agreed to an out-of-court settlement with a woman she was convicted of assaulting. Danielle House, a former Miss Canada International, signed papers Friday ending a civil suit launched by Annalee Gosse, the woman she punched out in a St. John's bar. "I'm glad this has finally come to end," said House, a 22-year-old Newfoundlander who now lives in Los Angeles. Details of the settlement were not revealed.

Danielle still reigned after the Playboy shoot however she was soon convicted and was publically stripped of her title.

Danielle was able to settle out of court with the woman she got in the fight and was relieved that it was all over.

Danielle has now gone after her dream of being an actress and a model and lives in California. In June of 1998 Danielle made her acting debut on the CBC comedy series Dooley Gardens.
