Rescue 15
Training Report
Rescue 15 holds regular weekly training classes for it's members, these classes cover such topics as Radio Communications, Rope work, Wilderness & Marine Survival, Practical Search training on Land and Sea, Map & Compass, Vessel Navigation, Marine Recovery and much more.
Below is a list of the major courses our members have participated so far in 1999.
1999 Course Report
- Jan. 8th to 10th One member of Rescue 15's Rope Rescue Team, went to Smithers, B.C for course on Rope Rescue. This course was provided by the Justice Institute of BC, Emergency Management Division.
- Jan. 22nd to 24th Three members of Rescue 15 went to Smithers, B.C. for a Ground Search & Rescue (GSAR) Instructor course. This course was provided by the Justice Institute of BC, Emergency Management Division. This course will allow the three instructors to teach the GSAR course locally.
- Feb. 3rd to 8th One member of Rescue 15's SAR Management Division, participated in the SAR Manager's Course held in Kelowna BC. This course was provided by the Justice Institute of BC, Emergency Management Division.
- Feb. 5th to 7th One member of Rescue 15's Winter SAR Team, participated in the Avalanche Rescue Course held in Terrace BC. This course was provided by the Justice Institute of BC, Emergency Management Division.
