“Get back,” Captain Korvus barked,
“Second perimiter established.”
Before the captain’s bodyguards could respond they were
faced with the huge and terrifying sight of a Carnifex.
“Retreat now.” Snapped Korvus.
Turning his head from the slaughter of his closest friends Korvus
was faced with an even more daunting and sickly sight, a Hive
Tyrant, running straight towards him. Gripping his power sword
and plasma pistol the captain uttered his last prayers, then
snapped a shot at the charging Tyranid. As the white hot ball of
plasma hit the Hive Tyrant, the beast howled and jumped towards
the bewildered Tallarn captain.
Far away from the battle, on Terra, a scribe placed a red jewled
pin into a star chart.
