You guys have had some time off at long last.have you been out shopping for luxuries
Well, I bought mt first house last spring. That's a pretty big luxury! It's really weird because it's my first house by myself without my mom.She's helping me get furniture and stuff. Once I'm settled in then I want to buy a place for my grandparents, something, something that makes them comfortable. They're stuck in a little apartment now and it's not ideal.
My games room. It's got a huge pool table in there and i'm looking forward to inviting the boys round for challenge matches.
Life as a superstar has it's downsides though.Has there ever been a time when you've been on your own and you've felt in danger?
When I went out in London's Piccadilly Circus one time without our security.We'd just went down there to have a bite to eat when all of a sudden 15 girls crowned around us. We were like, 'Oh boy, what do we do?'We were walking, they were following us, then they were standind outside the resturant, it was crazy.
How did you get away?
We hopped in a cab and just jetted.Nine times out of ten we always have security with us.
Don't you feel a bit restricted?
I actually feel safer than going out on my own.
What knid of places would you feel comfortable taking a girlfriend to, without security guys getting in the way?
Erm, I dunno, the Bahamas maybe. When we were in Jamaica we stayed in a real quiet little resort and that was cool. BAck home is OK at that moment. I'd take her back to my house, have a nice dinner and just watch some movies. You don't have to have security sitting in your living room, you know, If it gets to be that bad, Oh Jeez. I'd definitely wipe that out.
Are there any places you can't go in America?
Sure. You don't go to Disney World for a day. You don't go to a place where you know you're going to get noticed.
You could go in disguise!
Well, howie can grow a full beard, put his hair in a ponytail and shove a baseball cap on his head and no one knows it's him. I guess I could shave my beard off, take my jewellery off, wear an Afro wig!
lf you could be anonymous for a day, what would you do?
l'd go crazy, nuts. l gonna bo out there, being seen, doing something studpid. lf l was anonymous l'd be bored, man . l'd be climbing the walls.
Have youe been keeping healthy? You guys do like your junk food! Well, it's quick & easy to buy. You have to search hard for a good healthy meal. We try to stay healthy but when we're on tour we usually have to stop the tour bus at a fast food joint. l try to get a little snack and then wait'til l get back to the motel for proper healthy food.
Let's talk business. The Spice girls have secured loads of money from promotions, is that something you'd get involved in? Promoting clothes would be okay. You know, if a designer sees that Howie likes to dress a certain way they might approach him to wear their labels, or Nike might want to dress Nick. We'd go for that. Kev's got some Versace stuff now he's done the modelling.
Which song from your new album is going to be your personal fave. and why?>/font>
l want our album to be surprise so l'm not giving much away. Nick loves l need you tonight. That's the song he perform at our live shows. Brain wrote one called where do we go from here so l guess that's his personal favourite.
When the Backstreet Boys finally call it a day, what do you thing would be a reason? Hopefully that day will never come but if it does l think it will be just because we want to do something different. We've been doing this for 5 years now. You can only do the same thing for so long. (Pauses to think.) Yet then again look at the Rolling Stones, they've been at it for what, 40 or 50 years and they're stll going strong.
