What have you been spending all your money on?
The first thing l did was make sure my mon was OK so l re-financed her house. And then l got me a place to stay. l've been buting loads of studio equipment, and l'm buying a studio in my house. Apart from that l'm trying to be smart and invest.
Are you a practical man about the house?
Oh yeah. l love doing the painting and decorating-when l have time, that is.
What's your fave. room?
The one where l keep my grand piano. l've always wanted one cos l've been playing the piano since l was a little kid.
What do you keep on the top?
Pictures of my family, mu mom and dad's wedding pics, my grandpa's pics from way back in the past-old pics. l like antiques and old things.
ls there anything you still need for the house?
l just need to finish painting. Different rooms are gonna have different feels. where my piano is, the walls are a deep red which look great against my black piano. l guess my you'd call it oriental. ln the den where the fireplace is you get a more Mediterranean fell. Oranges and reds and navy blues and grenns. l want it to be very cosy in there.
Are you building huge gates to keep stalkers out?
But aren't you in much more danger of being mobbed now you've made it big back home in the states?
l guess so. When we go out now people definitely know who we are cos we've done lots of TV shows and we've sold quite a few records. lt's gonna be interesting in a few months time to see how many visitors l have knocking at my door.
Pop stars in UK are getting married left, right and centre. When you finally get hitched will you have a tradition do?
l want all my friends and family to be there so it'll probably be traditional. l waon't jet off and do it in private. lt'll be up to my bride, l'll go along with whatever type of wedding she wants.
What if she fancies a wacky, Elvis-style wedding?
oh, l don't know...l'd probably have to protest that one.
How's your new car, by the way? Your last one broke down on the way to the airport, didn't it?
Yeah, my Honda Accord blew up so l've brought a Toyota Four Wheel now. lt's wonna get in there, put all my ablums on and drive around.
Who's the most sensible BSB driver?
Howie. He's the most cautious. l drive a racer boy.
Have you had any tattoos done yet?
Nope. AJ got one on his left are. lt's mask that says,'Laught now'. He's getting one on his right arm saying'Cry later'. l'm not really into decorating my body. l'm more cocentional.
Let's talk about the rest of the pop world. Were you all really shocked when Geri left the Spice girls?
We were surprised that she left right in the middle of a tour but l don't think it was thatbig shock. The general opinion was, 'Oh well, bad things happen but the other girls can still carry on. 'lt was more of a shock when Roddie left Take That.
What do u think of Five?
l've heard they've been compared to us but l don't know much about them.

l haven't heard of them yet.
Apua?
Yeah, we know those guys. We saw them at the World Music Awards. They're mad. l think what they've done with their videos is really cool. They're having a laught and enjoying themselves.
