The Backstreet Boys are not splitting up, according to a statement exclusively released to dotmusic.
Frenzied tabloid speculation in the UK over the weekend claimed that the phenomenally successful US boyband were set to call it a day.
According to the reports, the split would follow a 'Greatest Hits' compilation, to be released early next year, with the band splitting after eight years at the top of the pop world.
However a statement from the Mitch Schneider Organisation in the US contradicts those claims. The statement reads:
"These rumours are unfounded and as official spokespeople for Backstreet Boys, we don't know where this information is coming from and can't imagine who the source is."
