Roody Poo Corner

Welcome to yet another edition of Roody Poo Corner. I am your host, Excalibur Kevin and it has been a busy week in wrestling. First off, my condolences go out to Darren Drozdov (Droz). He was in a matchup on Tuesday at the Smackdown! tapings when something went terribly wrong. Droz suffered a broken neck and is now paralyzed from the waist down. He is being told that he will never be able to walk again. Droz was in the process of receiving a fairly decent push by the WWF. Vince Russo, the head creative writer for the WWF, recently signed a long term contract with WCW. This is not good for the WWF, but is a step in the right direction for WCW. Look for more in depth and meaningful storylines from WCW soon. Dustin Runnels (aka Goldust) will make his debut in WCW soon. He will have a gimmick similar to his Goldust one, but with an Undertaker twist to it. hhhmmm...sounds interesting. WCW's new man in charge, Bill Busch, is doing a fantastic job right now. Firing Eric Bischoff was a fabulous move on WCW's part. My bold prediction is...WCW will be even with the WWF by Wrestlemania. However, they did do a recent bonehead thing by pretty much firing Lenny and Lodi. Those 2 are good workers with a funny, yet risque gimmick. They have been told to stay off of television indefinitely until further notice. YIKES! Tammy Lynn Syntch (aka Sunny) makes her television comeback this Friday in ECW on TNN. She is the HOTTEST woman to ever grace a wrestling ring in my opinion. That is only good news for the upstart ECW. Look for a continuing pairing between Stevie Richards and Mankind. Richards is almost over with the crowd, but adding Mankind to the mix only betters his chances. Val Venis is being pushed into a main event type feud with Mankind and The Rock. The Rock has a match against Val on Smackdown! tonight. Not bad Val, not bad at all. A DX reformation is also coming soon, but not with who you'd expect......possibly some new members? Someone from the past making a comeback? Or will it just be the 3 we expect? Chris Jericho and Mr. Hughes will soon be parting ways and feud with one another. The Rock has been named the year's sexiest man by People Magazine. How fitting..."people"....hhhhmmmm....The issue will hit newsstands sometime in November, possibly late October. The Chris Benoit/Bret Hart match was one for the ages. Great moves on both sides, but to little crowd reaction. SHAME ON YOU CROWD! And now, onto the list
1. The Rock -- Know your role, and rank me #1. 2. Bret Hart -- Wrestled one of his best matches of all time on Monday.
3. Mankind -- Val, just give Rocko back so he can be happy.
4. Rob Van Dam -- Slow week for Mr. PPV, but he is still the whole F'N show!
5. HHH -- WWF Champ and still defends it almost every week.
6. Chris Benoit -- It's all about respect for this man.
7. Val Venis -- The Big Valbowski is getting some spotlight now, good.
8. Miss Kitty -- Her "kitty" had the highest ratings on both Monday night shows.
9. Mike Awesome -- Good title defense against Rhino.
10. Chris Jericho -- Even though he lost, he was still in the main event. Good push continuing for Y2J.
List of Shame (in no particular order): Austin (no show), Mae Young and Moolah (old wrinkly bodies), Flair and Hogan (see previous comment), Sid (terrible "acting") , Nitro's main event (REALLY sucked
) So, do you like my list? IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU LIKE MY LIST! That's all for this week, I am the Shnizz Boppity Shoobob Schnitz, "Excalibur" Kevin saying g'night.
