What is The Princess Bride? Simply put, it is one of the best movies of
all-time. It's a wonderfuly delightful combination of sappy love
story, adventure, humor, and some great, extremely quotable dialouge. In high
school, I knew exactly one other person who saw any merit in The Princess Bride
at all. Upon moving to college, I discovered that nearly my entire floor is
also crazy about this movie, and can quote a good portion of it from memory.
Never seen it? I highly recomend you do! I won't give you the entire plot, but
I will say that this movie has a little something for everyone. In the words
of the grandfather, it has "Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants,
monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles..." Still not convinced? See if you
recognize any of the quotes below, or if any of them catch your imagination.
