Chapter 10

The next night-
The doorbell rang and I went to get it. I opened the door. "Hi Brian"
"Hey, this is for you" he said stretching out his arm and giving me one white daisy.
"Ok, thank you"
"Sorry it is just one, but I think less is more when it comes to flowers."
"No, I love it, thank you." I said then gave him a hug. I felt his arms drape around my back and I felt like I was melting into them.
"Let me go put this in water." I said finally pulling away from the hug. "Then we can go."
I went over to my kitchen and put the daisy into a vase, put it in a middle of my table, then we left.

At the restaurant-
"Hey guys!" I said as I walked up to the table with Brian.
Bobbie, Erin, Christine and Gina were sitting at a table in the corner of the restaurant.
"Hi Cindy" Erin said and I smiled at her.
"Everyone, I would like you to meet Brian." I said introducing him.
"Hi Brian, it’s nice to finally meet you Erin said as she put out her hand for him to shake. "Cindy has told us so much about you"
Brian shook her hand, then said hi to everyone else as they introduced themselves to him.
After introductions Brian and I sat down next to each other at the table. We ordered our food and sat talking. While we were talking, Brian slipped his hand in mine and we held hands.
Dinner ended and it was time for everyone to leave. I slipped my jacket on with a little of Brian’s help. I helped pay for the tip as Brian went ahead of me to pay for his and my bill.
"Cindy, he is great." Bobbie told me.
"I’m so happy for you. You two look happy together." Erin said.
"I think it is funny that you originally met in the auto shop." Gina said. "I knew you two would get together somehow. You look so cute together."
"Thanks guys, I am glad you got along." I said as I caught up with Brian.
We all got in our separate cars, said our good-byes and left.

In the car-
"Your friends are great." Brian said on the way home. "They are really friendly."
I smiled to myself. "I am so glad you all got along so well"
Brian turned the corner of my street and parked the car in front of my house. "What do you think of meeting my friends?" He asked me.
"Sure I’d love to. You never talk about them much, but what you say about your friend Nick, he sounds nice."
Brian smiled. "Good, how about next week?"
"That sounds fine. I can’t wait." I said to him lying just a bit. I was scared to meet his friends. What if I don’t get along with them?
There was an awkward silence before Brian reached in and gave me in long, warm kiss goodnight.
"Goodnight" Brian said in a whispery tone. "I’ll call you to let you know about next weekend." "Good-bye" I opened his car door then went inside my house.
