Chapter 3
"Oh great!" I exclaimed as I hit my head on the steering wheel.
"Don’t worry it was totally their fault." Gina tried to reassure me.
I sighed and stepped out of my once perfect car. As I stepped out, I found out who the other driver was. He was a man about my age and my height. He had dark brown hair.
I walked to the back of my car to check out the damage. The bumpers was clearly off, and the light had been lightly smashed in. The license plate that once read "Sassy" was dented in.
"Oh my gosh!" I said in a whispered and hushed tone, I was too shocked to do anything. By this time, Gina and Christine had gotten out to view the damages.
"Thanks for hitting my car." The man said with a raspy voice.
"What?! You were the one who smashed into me, not the other way around!" I said defending myself.
His harshness surprised me. "You are messed up. I did not do this! You are going to have to pay for this!"
"Calm down." Gina said as she walked up to us. "It isn’t anyone’s fault."
"Of course it is her fault. I would never hurt my car!"
I glared at him. "You think I would hurt my car! You are crazy!"
"Hey, I know you." Christine said as she cut into the conversation and pointed at the man. "You’re AJ from that group called the Backstreet Boys." Gina and I looked at her with questioned looks on our faces, she noticed and tried to explain. "You know that poster in the tacky shop? The one of the guys I thought were cute?" Gina and I shook our heads yes. "That is the group he is from." Christine pointed at the man.
The man loosened up a bit. "Ya, that is me, I’m AJ."
"Well now I know your name I can report you to the cops", I said to AJ. My remark made him mad again.
"Cops! I’ll report you to the cops!" AJ said as he whipped out his cell phone. "Hi my name is AJ McClean, and I just got in an accident." He paused. "We are at the Utopian Mall on Ouvert Road." He paused again, listening to the other person on the phone. "Ok, see you then" He said then hung up the phone.
"So" Gina asked him.
"They’ll be here in 15 minutes." AJ said.
15 minutes later-
"It’s all her fault!" AJ told the cop.
"It is not! I pulled out, and heard a crash. You can ask my friends who were also in the car, It wasn’t my fault."
The cop looked at me then at AJ. "It sounds as if both of you are to blame. I think you should both forget about each other. Fix your car and pretend this never happened."
"Do you know how much this will cost?" I asked pointing to the fender. "Look at this damage! His light is smashed in, my fender and whole backside of my car is smashed in."
"Do you both have insurance?" The cop asked us calmly.
"Yes" I said
.
"Yes" AJ said.
"Then why don’t you have both of your insurance’s pay for both your cars?"
I glared at AJ, and he glared at me. "That means I’ll have to spend more time with her." AJ said to the cop.
"Don’t think spending time with you will be joy in my life!" I said to AJ.
"Well, I think that will be best for the both of you, you can call your insurance agencies, and let them do the work."
AJ and I kept staring at each other. "Fine!" I finally said.
"Fine!" AJ said.
