Chapter 7

*Ding-Dong*
"Oh, my gosh their here!" Christine exclaimed. It was our date night and we were getting ready to go one our date. "I’ll go let them in, you keep getting ready." Christine ran down the stairs to answer the door.
I hurried and curled the rest of my hair. I heard what was going on in the front room of Christine’s apartment.
"Hi Dan" I heard Christine say. "This must be Trent, hi". I could picture Christine shaking his hand.
"Hi" I heard a deep voice say. His voice sounded much deeper in person then it did over the phone.
"Hold on one second, let me go grab Cindy". Christine said then came into the bathroom to get me.
‘Oh, my gosh!’ Christine mouthed to me so the guys couldn’t hear.
‘Is he cute?’ I mouthed back.
‘Yes’ Christine mouthed with wide eyes. My heart jumped. I checked myself in the mirror.
‘Great’ I told myself. ‘Here goes nothing.’ I walked out of the bathroom and into the front room.
There was Trent. He was on the couch with Dan. When Christine and I came in they both stood up. Trent towered over me, and I am tall. He had dark brown hair that was parted in the middle letting some strands fall into his face. His green eyes would stand out a mile away. He was very nice looking.
"Hello" I said with a smile.
"Hi" Trent said. "This is for you." He handed me a single red rose which he was holding.
"Thank you." I sniffed the rose.
"Should we go?" Christine asked us.
"Yes, we can all go in my car." Dan told all of us.
We all put our jackets on and walked out to Dan’s car. Christine got up in the front seat next to Dan, leaving Trent and I in the back.

25 min. Later-
"…So I said, was I supposed to?" Everyone at the table laughed. Trent had just made another lame joke.
Dinner had not gone as well as I had hoped. Yes, Trent was very nice looking, but follows the rule, never judge the book by it’s cover. He was lame and cracked jokes which I tried my hardest to laugh at, but just couldn’t.
"How about we go to a club just a few blocks away?" suggested Dan after dinner.
"I don’t know, I am kind of tired now." I told him.
"Why not, it will be fun?" Trent asked.
I looked over to Christine and gave her a pleading face.
"I don’t feel like it either." Christine said helping me out.
"The night has just begun, you can’t quit on us now." Trent said.
After a little while longer of pleading, Christine and I gave in.
"Don’t worry, I’ll be there with you, we can stay together." Christine told me on the way to the club. This time in the car, Christine sat in back with me saving me from Trent, who was in the front.
We got to the club and found a table to sit at. "Do you want something to drink?" Trent asked me.
"I just want a coke" I replied taking my coat off. The place was hot and stuffy from all the people jam packed into the little room. I could tell from the looks of everything that this was going to be a long night.
