Pacifica:The Begining

There is a report of a downed plane. Five cats crawled out of the wreckage. Three kittens and two adults. Then a thunderstorm started. “’rate” said one of the older kittens. “Rumpleteazer! How many times have I told you not to talk like your cousin, that little vase smasher.” The mother of the kittens said. Just then lightning flashed and another cat appeared on the top of the plane. Then another and another, then rats. A cat ran down the side of the plane and grabbed Rumpleteazer. “Let me go you…” she was gone right after she heard sister scream. Her younger sister, Pacifica, bit the rats and cats that tried to grab her. She ran behind a bush to hide and watch her mother, father, and brother’s fate. The big ugly cat said something about himself being Macavaty. With that her mother and father were gone… forever. He took Bonnado, her little brother. Pacifica ran and ran till she found a small perch in a tree near a junkyard. She thought “This is my home.” And with that found cloth scraps and arranged them into a bed. Rumpleteazer was taken to the Jellicle Tribe by a cat who looked like her but he ran away immediately after he had taken her to the outside of a junkyard. They questioned her about her family. “And you have no siblings?” Rumpleteazer thought of her sister screaming for help… “No. No siblings.” Five years later Pacifica stretched. She was now about a teenager. She looked over into the junkyard and saw a black cat zapping stuff and making it reappear. She had striped the lower branches off the tree so no one could get to her. Not even a cat. She levitated herself down to the ground and ran over to the edge of the junkyard and watched the cat. “Misto?” a gray cat said. “Everyone is gone or at there owners house. I am going to mine. Watch over the junkyard.” “Ok. Munkustrap.” Misto said. After Munkustrap left. Misto heard Pacifica step on some thing. He walked quietly to an old plant stand and scooted it away. There was nothing there. Misto looked up. There was a small female cat levitating over his head. “Hi. My names Pacifica. And yours is Misto?” She said. “Actually it’s Mistof—ya Misto. That’s my nickname. Just call me that. Ok?” “’k.” Pacifica said. She and Misto talked for along time. Soon they were playing. “Were best friends now right?” asked Misto. “Yea” replied Pacifica. Just then Munkustrap walked into the junkyard with all the other cats. “Who’s this?” he asked. Misto jumped up and said, “This is Pacifica. She would like to become a Jellicle.” “You would?” Munkustrap asked. “Yes.” Pacifica said. “Do you have any siblings?” he asked. Pacifica remembered her sister being taken away and her brother as well. “No. My mother, father, sister and brother were killed by Macavaty.” “You sound just like Rumple--” “Teazer?” Pacifica finished Munkustrap’s sentence. “That’s my sister’s name! Can I see this Rumpleteazer?” “I guess…Misto take Pacifica to see Rumpleteazer.” Munkustrap said. “Ok. Come on.” Misto was talking about how if they ran into trouble Pacifica could levitate the bad guy and Misto would try to zap him as she jerked him around. “This is it” He said. They were standing in front of a large door with a small cat door installed. “Mungo, Teaze someone here to see you..” Misto said. “Who?” Teaze said from inside. “Pacifica.” “WHO!?” “Pacifica…” Teaze ran out. Pacifica’s eyes opened wide and so did Teaze’s. They hugged each other. “My little sis…I ‘ought you ‘ere…” “So did I…” Mungo walked out. “Mungo this is my sis…Pacifica.” “Your sis?!” “Ya.” “’ell you know all the Jellice’s names?” Teaze asked Pacifica after they had told each other what they had done after that horrid night five years ago. “’ell ya…” “’k.” They all walked to the junkyard. After they got there Pacifica saw a cat her age trying to play with some other female cats who were drooling over the Rum Tum Tugger. “Stop it Pouncival! If you do that one more time I’ll…” one of them, Bombalurina, yelled at him. He looked so hurt. He walked over to a corner and lay down. Teaze had told her that his father was Macavaty but he had killed Pouncival’s sister. Pacifica left Misto’s side and walked over to Bom. “You otta’ be ‘shamed o your self. You know what he’s been through?” Following his friends lead Misto walked over to Pacifica and looked at Bom. “She right you know…” Bom just stared at her. “Sorry.” She yelled at him. Pacifica went over to the cat. “You ok?” “Ya. Wanna play? ” he asked. Pacifica pounced on him. Pouncival, Pacifica and Misto played all day. That night Pacifica didn’t know where to sleep. She crawled up, past the chair where Pouncival slept. He opened his eyes when she walked past. “You can sleep here… if ya want.” She looked down at him and smiled. Then slowly she climbed back down to his chair and curled up on one side. In the middle of the night Pouncival woke up. The whole chair was shaking. He looked at Pacifica. “The chairs shaking.” she said. “Your cold.” He said. Then he climbed over to the middle of the chair and so did she. Then they curled up together. They looked at each other. Then they both went to sleep.
