Jenny decided to emigrate to Canada in 1992. She's originally from England and unfortunately had never heard of Blue Rodeo. Her husband (then fiancé) introduced her to all of their music in 1995 and she's absolutely loved them ever since.
When asked whom she would like to sing a few lines for her, her answer was quick and simple. Jim would sing 'Try'. That isn't her favourite song when she's at a concert though. 'Head Over Heels' wins the prize for that. And Jenny's been to enough gigs to know! Some of her most memorable times were at Jim's solo show in Kitchener where the Adam Cohen band mooned the audience, at the Stardust Picnic in Fort York where she got her picture taken with Jim (made her day!), and at the Stardust Picnic in Guelph when 54:40's set was stopped due to lightening ... still the best concert she's been to though! But where is the dream concert setting? That would be somewhere close to her home in a small and intimate venue.
Jenny claims she has too many crazy ideas ... although she couldn't think of one for a new band name ... but she is under the ‘crazy’ impression that out of all the band members, she’s most like Jim. Most of the time he’s laid back and easy-going (not to mention the fact that he likes to have fun, laugh and dance) like Jenny. What’s another crazy idea? How about going to the St. Catharines Wine Festival (to see Blue Rodeo) from Owen Sound via Burlington and Kitchener on about 2 hours of sleep? *This* is a fan.
Jenny graduated from the University of Guelph in 1997. Away from work, she enjoys Great Big Sea's music (as well as Blue Rodeo's of course) and she's having fun with the Swing and Latan dance classes she's taking ... even though she keeps stepping on her own feet! Along with dancing, she also loves to cook. When doing so, she generally doesn't follow recipes ... instead she comes up with her own creations. Mmmmmm .... maybe she could try some out on the band!
