better: the Boys will apparently appear in
their underwear!

Awards are in the January 2000 issue of Teen
People with Britney Spears as the cover girl. The
Backstreet Boys were awarded:

On December 8th in Las Vegas, The Backstreet Boys owned the
Billboard Music Awards winning the Artist of the Year award as
well as Album of the Year, for the nine-times platinum LP
Millennium. The boys also won the Albums Artist of the Year and
Albums Artist Duo/Group of the Year.
Backstreet Boys newest single "Show Me The Meaning Of Being
Lonely" will be debuted on MTV on New Year's Eve. It's directed
by Stewart Gosling.
Backstreet Boy AJ has decided to let the group thing
go to make his music on his own. AJ will be making
his solo debut on January 9, his birthday, at the Hard
Rock Live in Orlando where he will portray his
alter-ego, "Johnny Suede

At the MuchMusic Video Awards our boys won Viewer's Coice for "Best
International Group". They didn't attend the awards but they did
send in a video Thank You...they looked good!:) As always.
The MTV Europe Music Awards will be on November 11 on MTV. Backstreet
Boys are nominateed for 4 awards. Best Song, Best Album, Best Group
& Best Pop. U can vote for them at http://www.mtve.com.
Last night, at 6pm EST. Samantha Stonebraker, an ex-girlfriend
of Brian's, chatted on the Backstreet Boys Secrets website (www.go.to/bsbsecrets)
about the book that she's written about their highschool relationship.

Mandy Moore will join the boys for 28 shows for their US/Can
tour that is on right now. Check the the Schedule one the WHERE page to
see what shows. BSB made the the top 10 list for 'Trendspotting' in Teen People
Magazine. N'SYNC may have made #1 but Backstreet Boys were right behind them at #2 with Jennifer
Love Hewitt being #3.
Kevin Richardson started the US tour out with a bang....he droped
his pants in very first show of touring!!! By accident too! Those lucky fans:)
BSB are on the cover of Diseny Adventures this month. There's a little cartoon in it,
about losing Brian I think.
Both Howie and Nick now have their own personal websites, that are totally
legit!! I know there's poser's out there that have made fake ones. Also, Tommy

The much-anticipated launch of the 'Sears Presents Backstreet
Boys Into The Millennium Tour Brought To You By Polaroid'--set for
September 14 and 15 in Fort Lauderdale at the National Car
Rental Arena - has been postponed due to impending inclement
weather (Hurricane Floyd). Backstreet Boys are concerned for the safety of their fans and have
been advised to postpone the shows.
Their tour will now kick-off September 17 in
Charlotte, NC at the Charlotte Coliseum and the Fort Lauderdale
shows have been rescheduled for December 5 and 6 (tickets for
the September 14 and 15 shows will be honored for those dates).
The rescheduled dates will now conclude the BACKSTREET BOYS'
sold-out 11-week, 39-city tour in support of their #1
chart-topping, record setting Millennium CD.
The song that will be on the "Drive Me Crazy" soundtrck will
be an "IWITW' remix.

The boys may have lost three awards to TLC and Lauryn Hill, but they walked away with the most important one
last night at the 16th annual MTV Video Music Awards, the Veiwer's Choice Award!
Yeah boys!!!! Host, Chris Rock, may have poked fun at the boys but they won
the most respected award as well as pulling off a stealer performance!!! Their 7 minute
show consisted of an short version of IWITW and an amazing performance of their
new single "Larger Than Life".
The Video for "Larger Than Life" will be first shown on MTV on TRL somewhere
around the 13th...
The MTV Video Music Awards may be over....but the MuchMusic Video Awards
are still ahead. September 23 at 8pm tune in to see if the boys win the
award for Best International Group.....let''s hope they can keep the title, for they
won last year.

Samantha Stonebraker and Marisa Jackson, the ex-girlfriends of Brian and A.J. respectively, are
writing tell-all books about them! St. Martin's will publish Samantha's book in November; Marisa's
book will be published by Simon & Schuster next month. Brian and Samntha were high-school
sweethearts while AJ and Marisa dated for 6 years. (I think this is quite wrong)

CHART NEWS: Backstreet Boys 1999 release of 'Millennium' is the #1 top
selling album in both the US and Canada. (I saw it on MuchMusic) On the Billboard
top 50, Backstreet Boys are #2 right now while 'Backstreet Back' still lingers
at 50.
I'm not sure what song, but one of the boys songs will be featured
on the 'Drive Me Crazy' soundtrack.
AJ got a new tattoo, as a matter of fact, a lot of the guys went tattoo crazy in Europe. AJ got a dragon on his
back and Nick embellished the musical note on his back, Brian added to his “The Lord is my Rock"
tattoo. Tommy says it's the best one.

The WB network will be having the first ever
"WB Radio Music Awards" on October 28 at
8PM ET. Recently, "Felicity" starts Scott Foley
and Amy Jo Johnson, and radio DJ Rick Dee,
host of Rick Dee's Top 40, annnounced the
nominees. The award show will broadcast live
from Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las
Vegas, Nevada. The Backstreet Boys are
nominated for Best Makeout Song, and Artist
Of The Year In Adult Comtemporary

As of August 6, Backstreet Boys #1 smash hit, 'I Want It That Way', was retired from MTV's TRL
after 65 apperances on the popular TV show. Were all sad to see it go, but it made a great run. CONGRATS
BOYS!! The boys newest album 'Millennium' has reached 6 times platinum in the US
by RIAA this past week and is now the TOP seeling album of 1999! If you missed the boys were on ET again on the
12th, (3rd time since 'Millennium's' release) the popular entertainment show showed us some backstage
fotage of the boys upcoming video 'Larger Than Life'. THEY LOOKED HOT!:)
On July 26, Disney hosted a chat with a mystery Backstreet Boy who
turned out to be Nick Carter:) I have the Chat Transcript in the

Since Sears is sponsering the US/Cananian part of the BSB's 'Into
the Millennium' tour, they're having a contest (More details in
Teen People) for a shopping spree. The best part is...it's with the Backstreet Boy

Don Philip, an as-yet-unreleased artist on Jive, will

CHART UPDATE~~~'Millennium' is currently spending it's second week in a row at
the #1 spot on the Billboard Charts after it's reign was interrupted by the debut of
Limp Bizkit's Significant Other, the 1997 release 'Backstreet Boys' still lingers in the
top 50 at 42, and "I Want It That Way" falls two spots from it's long-time number 6 spot to 8
on the Billboard hot 100. Millennium is #2 on the Canadian charts and in the U.K. the boys
are sittin' at number 29. (What's with that?!)
Brian may be making a cameo in a movie. It's not confirmed, but he announced
at a recent benifit for the Memorial Sloan-Kettering
Cancer Center that he may make an appearance in an
upcoming independant movie called Olive Juice. This is the movie that his girlfriend,
Leigh Ann has the staring role in..as well as Lil' Tyke. Their dog.
On July 28, Ricky Martin announced that BSB are nominated in 4 categories for the MTV Video Music Awards including Video Of

After three weeks at number one, Backstreet Boys will bump Limp Bizkit to #2 on the charts.
Limps, "Significant Other", will lose it's #1 spot next week as the Backstreet Boys reclaim the top
spot, according to sales figures released by SoundScan on Wednesday. The Backstreet
Boys moved another 271,000 copies of their "Millennium" CD last week,
as opposed to 238,000 from Limp Bizkit. With the sales goose, the
Backstreet Boys are closing in on sales of 4
million for the album, which has moved more than 3,974,000
copies in nine weeks in stores.
Backstreet Boys have once again, won another award! At the Yahoo!
Internet Awards held a few days ago, BSB won
Favorite Pop/Rock Artist.
While in Breman, Germany, The Backstreet Boys surprised a crowd at a
UNICEF charity concert with an appearance. BSB joined singer Lionel Richie on the stage
and accompanied Richie singing "We Are The World."
According to Tommy Smith,
The Backstreet Boys next single will be 'Larger Than Life'.
The Boys are now talking to different directors to get a concept for
the video which will be shot at the end of August.
We all know the boys have movie-star looks, and 4 out 5 of them have
acting experience, well.....now the Backstreet Boys are going to be doing a cameo
in a movie!!! Other pop sensations that are going to be in the movie consist of
'N SYNC and Britney Spears. No dates of filming have yet to be released. (More details here.)
Dates for the North American tour will be released later this week. And if you haven't heard...AJ
has shaved his master piece:) He said he "wanted a change".
Rumors are flying that Nick is going to leave the group and go solo. THIS IS NOT TRUE.
It is being said that Nick would like to do a solo CD after the summer tour is over, but
nothing is confirmed.
OK, I wanna apolagize. I haven't been being all that up-to-date. Sorry all! But, summer just started and the parties are rollin' in!!!
But, here's lots of news for ya. Kevin is over his cold. One of the shows had to be cancelled. Everyone in the band had it..it was just his turn.
The show in Barcelona, Spain is going to be taped. The Backstreet Boys have the rights to it so it MAY be on shelfs sometime
next year. YEAH!!! The new members of the band, Mindi, Bubba & Guy, are doing great! They're fitting in really well. The other new members of the road...the
BSB dancers, are doing just the same. Just to let u, the BSB dancers have their own bus. So, no girls are on the guys bus's...even though they're all rumored to have girlfriend's.
The only BSB member who we know of that has a 'real' gf, is Brian. The boys are debating about witch song will be their
new single. Either 'Larger Than Life', 'Don't Want You Back' or 'Show Me The Meaning'. Which ever song they chose, the video will probably be out end of
September. And last but not least, Brain has wrote a new song. One thing though, it's not a Backstreet Boy song. Now don't get all worried and
start spreading rumors that B-rok is going solo.....he just wrote a song. A AWESOME SONG so I hear:) No one's sure what's going to happen to it.
Maybe he'll sell it to another band???
Another false rumor: Nick is dating Mandy Moore. Mandy Moore is a rising pop star...who is 15!!! Rumors still fly
about him dating someone named Mandy, who is 18.

Millennium » The Backstreet Boys' latest release "Millennium" is still
sittin' pretty at the number 1 slot on the Billboard 200 chart for it's
fourth week. It is also the #1 album for top internet sales. An
interesting fact: This week last year, the U.S. debut album "Backstreet
Boys" was number 7, and it still lingers on the chart at number 53, this
being it's 96th week. The single, "I Want It That Way", is also doing
well, slowly creeping it's way up the Top 50 chart, currently at number
six.
Ok fans, I've got some news about the BSB band.
In addition to the departures of Obie and Freddy in March, Tim, Paul, and
Billy have all left now. Tommy is the only remaining original member now. That's loyalty!
In replacment for someone (not sure yet) there's a female guirtarist. Cool huh? Also new to the stage
are the dancers. There's 10 all together, 5 guys and 5 girls.
Attention AJ lovers!:) AJ stated to YTV's hitlist VJ, Exan, that
he and his long term girlfriend (Amanda Lontana) have broken up. The 2 went out for more than a year and still remain
good friends. He also showed everyone his new tatoo. It's of his lucky number 69. It's around his belly button:)
OK, new news about the amazing new album "Millennium". It debut at #1 knocking Ricky Martin down to #2 and they
sold more than 1/2 million albums (Wow) on the first day. No other album since 1991 has had as big a first week as
our boys. It's also #1 on the UBL hitlist and it's rising up the biilboard charts fast! The single "I Want It That Way", released
on April 12, also debut at #1 on charts around the world!!!!
On May 21, Kevin, AJ and Howie were in Toronto doing a press conference while Nick and Brian did one in New York.
They split up to cover more ground. Did y'all catch them on The Rosie O'Donnell show on the 20th? I didn't:( I got my dates
confused. But I bet they looked as hot as ever!

Some coolio news for ya, I heard that for the new tour, the boys are going
to have back-up dancers and the stage is going to be round with the band in the middle. I can't wait for them to
come to Canada, which will be in like October. They also just won four awards at the 1999 World Music Awards for
"World's Best Selling Pop Group," "World's Best Selling R&B Group", "World's Best Selling Dance Group" and "World's Best Selling American Group."
Isn't that awesome?? I'm so proud of them!
May 9 I think, while I was in Block Buster, I spoted the new Rolling Stone...and guess who's on the cover!!?? That's right..Backstreet Boys!!
They have a 3 page article in it too. Here's some things that I learned or got confirmed. Brain has bought a new beemer and a new house. And yes...he IS going out with Leigh
Ann. AJ, who is now smoking Marlboro Light cigarettes, has 10 tatoos. He descirbes his girlfriend as "him but with breasts". Nick has just bought his own house and now has
4 pug dogs. He has a black Prowler in the garage and a 5-by-5-foot TV in his living room. Kevin didn't just buy a new house, but he has to move out of the one he loves.
Too many fans know where he lives. Howie, as we all know, is dabbling into real estate. The boys have a new manager and their law suit againt Lou Pearlman seems to be going ok. Incase u didn't know, Pearlman and Co. kept some $10 miilion
in recording and touring revenues since 1993. The boys, only got $300,000. Total rip-off!!!
On the cover of the June/July issue on Teen People, Nick is one the cover along with Monica and Britney Spears
for the hottest 21 stars under 21. There's a really hot new pic of him in the mag. Also, there's an article about the new BSB album. It has some

Kevin was a judge at the Miss USA contest on February 5, 1999. First he's a singer, then a model

A Night Out With The Backstreet Boys, the follow-up to their
4X platinum home video will be released on November 10.
"A Night Out with the BSB" has been released in
Canada and the US. It has 6 BSB songs plus 3 sneak
previews of songs from their third album. One of the
preview songs is Nick's solo Heaven in your Eyes
A.J.'s girlfriend's name is Amanda. She is a singer from
the group Innosense. Amanda is currently on tour in
Germany. The BSB and Innosense will both perform at
the Hand in Hand Charity concert on November 27.
AJ got a new tattoo!! It is on his right forearm, but
I'm not sure what it is of...
Jane Carter, Nick's mom, has written a book about
him. It is called "The Heart and Soul of Nick Carter:
Secrets Only a Mother Knows" (I gotta read it!!).
The Boys world tour in 1999 will come to Europe, Asia,
Austrailia, New Zealand, and North and South
America. The tour will take up the entire year.
Brian got a dog. It is a chihuahua named Little Tike.
He got the dog somewhere near LA when they were
on their US tour. It is 13 months old. It looks just like the Taco Bell Dog:)

I heard a rumor that Nick's family is moving to LA!!!!! As if!!! They can't move!!!!
Nick has bought a condo near Ruskin Flordia by the ocean (wonder if it's one
of Howie's *S*). Now no one will know where he lives....that's probably what
he wants but...that's not what we want!!!!!!!

On December 8, 1998 at the Billboard Music Awards BSB gave one of their best
performances yet and won two awards. They won Best Group Album and
Best Adult Contemporary Artist. Way to go Backstreet Boys!!
Brian, Kevin, AJ and Howie are suing their manager Lou Pearlman for all the money they should
have been getting over the past years. Supposedly Lou has been taking more of the profit then he
should have been, and the boys have been jipped. They also want more control over the money
that they do recieve. I find this pretty sad, because it used to seem the Lou and all the guys were so
close, =( I don't know why Nick isn't suing.......if I find out more I'll tell ya!

In a practice that goes back to boy-band prehistory, any notion that the Backstreet Boys
have relationships that would put them beyond the reach of their lovesick fans is quickly
quashed. "They don't want to talk about that," says one publicist. "The fans own them."
When a young blonde is referred to as Littrell's girlfriend, Richardson immediately snaps,
"She's a friend. We don't have girlfriends. You really can't in this business." When Carter
is asked about a puppy he and his girlfriend bought the day before, he was apoplectic.
"Who said it was my girlfriend?" he says. "That was my cousin. Right now my love is the
music." But backstage, just before the Boys go on, Carter turns to his platimun-blond
"cousin", embraces her and gives her a long, deep kiss. Only the non-conformist McLean

Orlando-based girl group Innosense, when they have a day off between concerts. "We

It is now confirmed.....Brian and AJ are both seeing someone! They admitted it on Regis and Kathy
Lee on September 2nd. It is rumoured that Brian is with Leanne (did I spell that right?) who
appears with him in the I'll Never Break Your Heart video. AJ is supposedly seeing Amanda from
the group Innosense. Although I don't know if it's true who the people are, they are definitely both
involved with SOMEONE! I hope they're both happy =)
At the first BSB concert in Toronto yesterday, at the 1st show at 2:30pm (the second was at
8pm) and AJ got hurt! He tore a ligement in his leg during the last song somehow, I dunno how!!!
He missed the encore! The other 4 did it and it was pretty good! He was in the hospital for the night
and missed the 8pm show.

with a "double diamond" award for their CD. This means that 2 million copies have been sold alone
in Canada. This has never been done by any group or singer. That's 20 times platinum in one
country!!!
A Message From Howie D.
Regarding the recent passing of my sister, Caroline Cochran.
The outpouring of emotion and sympathy I have received from the fans and the media
has been overwhelming. Caroline was only 37 when she lost her battle with the disease
called Lupus. This disease effects the immune system, often striking young people like
my sister, in their prime.
I would request that instead of sending card and gifts in memory of my sister, a donation
could be made to the fund I have established in her name. This donation would help
towards the research of Lupus with hope a cure could be found, and no family would
have to suffer a loss such as ours.

Even after the horrible death of Howie's sister he and AJ showed up the
MuchMusic Video Awards, and they both liked fine! AJ's hair was blonde
again, (It was blue at the MTV Video Awards) and Howie dedicated The People's
Choice Award they won for "Best International Group", to his sister.
*sadness*
October 7th is the official BSB Day!!!! The mayor of Flordia declared it!!!
