All Stars
ALL-STARS: How would you describe B*Witched?

Edele Lynch: We are 4 girls who happen to be in a band together. We don’t' want to be one-dimensional. We don't want to be about one thing. We want to be about everything. We want B*Witched to be nothing less than a celebration of being alive.

ALL-STARS: How did you get together?

Sinead O' Caroll: We got together over 2 years ago. WE all used to know each other from a dance center in Dublin. Keavy used to be a training mechanic in her dad's garage. I went in with my mom because her car broke down and I recognized Keavy and we got to chatting and found out that we wanted to do the same thing. Keavy's sister, Edele, always wanted to sing and dance as well.

Lindsay Armaou: then I got to know Keavy from kick-boxing and she kind of introduced me to the other 2. We go together and saw that we had the same amount of talent, same amount of ambition and determination and that we were all willing to work hard for it.

Keavy Lynch: We all decided to go into the studio together and we just clicked, musically and socially.

ALL-STARS: Do you come from musical backgrounds?

Edele: Keavy and I come from a musical family, so there was always music around us when we were growing up. Our grandad played the fiddle, so we never needed much of an excuse to dance and sing. From a really early age, we started making up our own songs and performing them.

Keavy: I suppose, t some point, it occurred to us that we might grow up to be performers, but it seemed like a distant dream. Then, as we got older, it started looking more realistic. We thought "Yeah, we can do this." It was at that point that things started falling into place.

ALL-STARS: How did you get your manager and record company?

Sinead: IT was about six months later. Lindsay was still in school at the time and we were training 3-4 hours a day. There was a TV station doing a documentary on the dance centers in Dublin and we were training in one of the studios. They asked us to do a show for them the next week and come on and perform and we were like, "Yeah, brilliant!" So, we were training for that and there was a guy in the show who knew of a manager in England who was looking to manage a band. WE had a meeting with her and six months later we were signed with her.

ALL-STARS: Do you write your own songs?

Sinead: WE co-write with our producer, Ray Hedges.

ALL-STARS: What is the message behind your music?

Sinead: None of our songs have to do with problems we've had. It's just sort of how B*Witched began. "Cest La Vie" is a happy song, and that's what we all like-- to listen to music, sing and dance around. That's the music we wanted to make. With "Rollercoaster," it was like a big adventure-- when things started to take off for us. "To You I Belong" is a song about our parents and how they were always behind us and that was kind of dedicated to them.

ALL-STARS: How did you come up with the name B*Witched?

Keavy: When our produce, Ray Hedges, first met us, he said we "bewitched" him.

ALL-STARS: Are you fans of any of the boy bands?

Sinead: No we're not really fans. We knew 5ive from England because we all started around the same time.

Keavy: We're not a fan of anybody. We just love music, it doesn't matter who sings it, what they look like or who they are, it's just that we like the music in general. We like 5ive's music and we like 'N Sync's music. Music always makes us smile.

ALL-STARS: What is your long term goal as a group?

Keavy: We don’t really think about limits. We're just busy enjoying the ride at the moment. We totally believe in what we do and in the power of pop music to raise people's spirits.
