I haven't yet been lucky enough to draw a bull elk tag, although there are some beauties waiting out there for those who do. However, I have been fortunate enough to get cow/calf tags on several occasions and put some of the absolute best wild game in the freezer. The hunts shown here occurred in the East Kootenays of B.C. and the country is rugged - ideal elk habitat. It's some kind of chore hauling an elk off one of these mountains!
