Record of the last will and testament of Samuel Hague deceased filed in the
Clerks Office of the Wayne Court of Common Pleas August 23 1834.
Know ye that I Samuel Hague of Wayne County Indiana do make this my last
Will and Testament in manner and form following viz:
Item 1st: I give and bequeath to my daughter Ruth Jackson the farm on which
I live, Situate on the Williamsburgh Turnpike, containing eighty acres more
or less and all my personal property of every kind and description whatever
to have and to hold the same forever; Provided my said daughter Ruth Jackson
shall pay to each one of my other four daughters living the sum of three
hundred dollars and to the children of my deceased daughter Nancy McLane
three hundred dollars and to the children of my deceased daughter Tacy
(Lacy?) Thornburgh the sum of Three hundred dollars making Eighteen hundred
dollars to be paid by her to my said children and grandchildren.
Item 2nd. I give my said daughter Ruth Jackson the privilege of paying up
said Eighteen hundred dollars in three equal annual installments of six
hundred dollars each. The first one to fall due one year after my death and
the others one and two years later and the latter two to bear interest from
the time the first payment comes due.
Item 3rd. If my said daughter should elect not to take said farm and
personal property, it is my will that my Executor herein after named sell my
said farm and personal property and out of the proceeds pay the said sums of
three hundred dollars above specified to each of my said heirs above
specified and to my said daughter Ruth Jackson all the balance of my said
estate real and personal. And I hereby constitute and appoint Allen Hoover
Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills
by me made. Witness my hand this 29th day of July 1834.

Signed in the presence of the undersigned who have signed our names as
witnesses as the request of said testator and in the presence of each other
the day and year above written.
