Bark of a young E. delegatensis tree. This tree on Vashon Island shows some frost damage from the December 1998 freeze. However it did grow back without severe damage.
Juvenile leaves of E. delegatensis in my garden in November. This specimen died shortly after this photo was taken, from poor drainge on heavy clay soil.
