Abutilon megapotamicum. |
Abutilon X suntense
'Ralph Bould' seedling, a hybrid between A. ochsenii and A. vitifolium
with pale lavender flowers.
Acacia baileyana var.
purpurea. This will probably not quite be hardy here. |
Acacia dealbata var.
subalpina is just a little hardier than the usual form of A.
dealbata, but will still probably not quite be hardy here. |
Our Albizia julibrissin
(silk tree) has assumed a more compact habit because of its exposed position
near the water. It usually blooms for us in early August, but if
it is a hot summer, the flowering may last all through September. |
Aloe ecklonis has been
through several winters outside. |
Aloe ecklonis was the
first hardy Aloe sp. to flower in my collection. |
Aloe reitzii in a pot. |
Alstromeria sp. in July. |
Branch of Araucaria angustifolia.
A. angustifolia is faster growing than A. araucana and has
a broader, flat-topped canopy. This tree has had no trouble surviving
winter cold and wet, including our December 1998 freeze. |
