I should clarify that I am not absolutely certain the plant pictured here is indeed E. lacrimans. It was grown from Eucalyptus Nurseries seed as E. pauciflora 'pendula' and it might actually belong to the E. pauciflora group.
Leaves and stems of E. lacrimans (?), Vashon Island Botanic Gardens, Washington.
Leaves of a young E. lacrimans (?) in my garden. The leaf veins are less parallel than those of any tree in the E. pauciflora group. This may be further evidence that the tree is not in the E. pauciflora group. This euc would not stand straight on its own so I tied it very loosely to a very short stake. This should not have a weakening effect on the trunk in the long run.
