A young E. pauciflora ssp. pauciflora at Tropic-2-Tropic plants, Delta, BC.

Leaves of the same tree photographed a year later.
E. pauciflora is a somewhat variable species. This plant with much shorter, rounded leaves and reddish stems looks quite different from the above plant. It was thriving in a location with drainage too poor to support E. pauciflora ssp. niphophila, but just this year it finally died.
New growth on the specimen in the second and third pictures.
Another shot.
