Our June Playreading Series At the Shadbolt

Evergreen Theatre performed a lunchtime reading series of classic radio plays in June. The performances were in the atrium and admission was by donation.

June 8th The Monkey's Paw by W.W. Jacobs
The classic horror story of the dangers of getting what you wish for.
June 10th My Client Curley by Norman Corwin
The art of balancing a dancing caterpillar's career has his agent dancing to a different tune.
June 12th The Last Clock by Eric Cameron
James Thurber's charming story of an ogre, who eats clocks, melds fantastical fable with political satire.

Join us at 12:15 for the humorous and the scary. Bring your lunch or buy a lunch at the excellent coffee shop. Each play is approximately 35 minutes in length. Enjoy the play and then spend the afternoon wandering around the scenic gardens or go next door to the Burnaby Village Museum.

The Shadbolt Centre for the Arts is at 6450 Deer Lake Ave. (enter off of Canada Way). There is lots of free parking.
