Chapter 1


Darien woke up to the buzzing of his alarm. He hit the
sleep button, wanting to get another good five minutes
of rest before getting ready. Then he remembered
something.

"THE SCOUT MEETING," shouted Darien. He shot out of
bed and ran into the bathroom. He took a really quick
shower before getting dressed in his usual clothes. He
ran out of his room and into the main room where a
little girl with pink hair was sleeping. He ran over
to the couch and knelt down in front of it.

"Reenie" said Darien, "wake up." After he got no
answer from the sleeping girl, he started shaking her.

"Wake up Reenie, we have to go to the scout meeting."
Reenie stirred a little.

"Just…a…little…bit…longer…mommy," said Reenie in her
sleep. Darien shook his head. He sat in thought for a
second before he got an idea.

"I'm making pancakes," said Darien, a grin on his
face. Reenie stirred again.

"Pancakes," said Reenie, but that was all. Darien
dropped his head into his hands, but lifted it back up
when he heard giggling coming from behind him. He
quickly turned around to see a familiar black cat
walking towards him, a big grin on her face.

"Having trouble waking sleepy head up," asked Luna.
Darien nodded, "You got that right."

"Mind if I try," asked Luna. Darien got up and stepped
aside.

"Be my guest," said Darien, "But you're just wasting
your time." Luna jumped up onto the couch and walked
next to Reenie head.

"Reenie," said LUNA, "WAKE UP!" Darien stepped back at
the pitch of Luna's voice. Reenie instantly shot off
the couch.

"I'm getting ready," said Reenie. She ran into
Darien's room then realized that she isn't home. She
quickly ran out of the room then sighed in relief when
she saw Darien.

"Oh," said Reenie, "Hey Darien." Darien walked up to
her.

"Hurry up," said Darien, "We're gonna be late for the
scout meeting." Reenie nodded her head and quickly ran
into the bathroom. Darien sat down on the couch. Luna
jumped up next to him.

"So," said Luna, seriously, "how are you doing?"
Darien dropped his head into his hand.

"I just can't get it out of my head and I know I never
will," said Darien, "It's only been a week, but it
feels like it just happened. I still can't believe it
happened." Luna nodded her head.

"I know exactly how you feel," said Luna, "I try my
best to hide it around people, but when I'm alone I
just have to let it out. It hurts so much." Darien
nodded in agreement. They sat there for about ten
minutes when Darien stood up.

"Serena always said that Reenie took long baths," said
Darien, "but this is ridiculous." He walked over to
the bathroom door and knocked on it.

"Reenie," asked Darien, "Hurry up." He waited for a
moment before getting an answer.

"BE RIGHT OUT!" Darien waited at the door for another
five minutes and Reenie still never came out. He shook
his head and knocked on the door again.

"BE RIGHT OUT," shouted Reenie. After a couple of
minutes, the door flew open, hitting Darien in the
face. Reenie ran to the dresser and took clothes out
then ran back into the bathroom. She closed the door
leaving Darien grabbing his nose. 'This just isn't my
day,' thought Darien. After a few minutes, Reenie ran
out of the bathroom.

"All ready," said Reenie. 'Oh thank god,' thought
Darien, he needed to get out of the apartment as soon
as possible.

"Let's go," said Darien. Reenie nodded her head and
took his hand into hers. They walked out the door,
followed by Luna.

Raye a Mina were both sitting on the floor at the
temple. Mina just arrived, she's the one who called
the meeting. She was able to tell that Raye was crying
before she came because of her red, puffy eyes. They
were both talking now.

"Where is everyone," asked Raye, getting annoyed.

"I have know idea where Darien is," said Mina, "But
Lita said that Troy was walking her here." They both
giggled. There was a knock at the front door and Raye
quickly walked to it. She opened it up to find Troy
and Lita standing at the doorstep. Mina looked to see
who it was and silently giggled when she saw Troy and
Lita holding hands.

"Come in," said Raye, trying to hold back her
laughter. The couple walked in and they all sat down
on the floor. Troy looked around for a second and then
turned to Raye.

"Where's Darien," asked Troy. Raye shrugged. Apollo
flew in through the window, Artemis jumping in after
him.

"There you are," said Mina, "What happened to you?"

"Yeah," said Troy, looking at Apollo. Apollo flew onto
a chair and Artemis ran next to Luna.

"I was following you," said Apollo, "but then I saw a
white cat being chased out of the fish market."
Everyone turned to Artemis. A blush was visible under
his fur. Everybody broke out into laughter. Artemis
hid under the couch. The laughter stopped at the sound
of knocking at the door. Everyone stood up as Raye ran
to the door. She opened it and was relieved when she
saw Darien and Reenie.

"Where were you guys," asked Raye. Luna walked in from
behind Darien and Reenie.

"Reenie had to get ready," said Luna as she walked
passed Raye. Raye nodded in understandment. Darien and
Reenie walked in. Reenie sat on the floor with the
other girls and Darien sat on the couch next to Troy.
Raye closed the door and sat on the floor.

"So," said Darien, looking at Raye, "Why did you call
this meeting." Raye looked up at Darien.

"Actually," said Raye, "I don't know. Mina's the one
who called the meeting." Everyone turned to Mina.

"I called this meeting so we can share what we all
have been this past week," said Mina, "And I was
wondering, who should be leader now?" Everyone was
motionless, they never thought about the question
before.

"I," said Lita, "I don't know." Everyone else nodded.
They had no idea who the leader should be.

"I think it should be Mina," said Amy, "She has been a
scout the longest." Mina shook her head.

"I think it should be you," said Mina, looking at Amy,
"You are always the one with the information."

"I think it should be Raye," said Lita, "She has that
leader thing to her." Raye shook her head.

"There's only one person I want to be the leader,"
said Raye, her head down.

"Who," asked the other girls. Raye lifted her head,
tears falling from her eyes.

"Serena," said Raye. The other girls nodded, their
eyes all beginning to fill with tears.

"I know," said Mina, tears falling from her eyes, "But
she can't." The other girls nodded. Reenie just sat
still, tears falling from her eyes. Everyone shot up
from the sound of a guy screaming from outside.

"CHAD," cried Raye, "Everyone, transform." The others
nodded.

"MARS STAR POWER!"

"MERCURY STAR POWER!"

"JUPITER STAR POWER!"

"VENUS STAR POWER!"

"EARTH CRYSTAL POWER!" The scouts all transformed and
Darien transformed into Tuxedo Mask. They all ran
outside, leaving Reenie with the three guardians. When
they got outside, they found a creature standing over
Chad, who was out cold on the ground. The creature was
a tall female with pale blue skin and dark black hair.
It had long nails on each hand. On its head it had
pointy ears.

"HEY YOU," shouted Sailor Mars. The creature quickly
turned towards the voice.

"YEAH YOU," shouted Sailor Mars. The creature looked
her over.

"Who are you," asked the creature.

"I am SAILOR MARS!"

"I am Sailor Mercury!"

"I am Sailor Jupiter!"

"I am Sailor Venus!"

"I am Sailor Earth!"

"WE ARE THE SAILOR SCOUTS," shouted the scouts.

"And I am TUXEDO MASK!" The creature grinned. It
disappeared.

"Wh…where did it go," asked Sailor Venus. Balls of
energy fell from the sky. The scouts jumped out of the
way, but Sailor Venus and Sailor Mercury weren't fast
enough. The energy pinned them to the ground.

"JUPITER THUNDERCLAP ZAP," shouted Sailor Jupiter. The
creature quickly dodged the attack and countered with
its own. Sailor Jupiter didn't see it coming, and took
the attack to the chest. She fell to the ground in
pain.

"LITA," cried Sailor Earth. He ran towards the
creature, pulling out his sword.

"EARTH BLADE ATTACK," shouted Sailor Earth. The sword
shined a bright green. He slashed at the creature, but
it disappeared right before he hit it. It appeared in
back of him.

"WATCH OUT," shouted Tuxedo Mask. Sailor Earth turned
around, but it was too late. The creature hit him with
a ball of energy, making him fly back and onto the
ground in pain. He tried to get up, but didn't have
the strength. The creature walked towards him, but
quickly stopped as something flashed in front of it.
It looked down to see a rose stuck in the ground. It
angrily looked up.

"Going after people when they're down," said Tuxedo
Mask, "How low can you get?" The creature fired a ball
of energy towards him, but he quickly dodged it.

"MERCURY AQUA ILLUSION," shouted Sailor Mercury. The
creature turned around, but it was too late. It flew
back when the water hit it.

"MARS CELESTIAL FIRE SURROUND," shouted Sailor Mars.
The rings of fire hit the creature and it fell to its
knees, screaming in pain.

"NOW, SAILOR MOON," shouted Tuxedo Mask. Then he
realized that Sailor Moon isn't here. He suddenly felt
loneliness and sadness hit him again.

"EARTH BLADE ATTACK," shouted Sailor Earth. He slashed
at the creature and it fell to dust. Everyone stood
silent for a second before de-transforming.

"LITA," cried Troy. He quickly ran over to the girl
who was slowly and painfully getting back up. He put
his arms around her and pulled her to her feet. They
looked into each other's eyes for a second before
hugging.

"I think this calls for a meeting," said Amy. Raye and
Mina nodded in agreement. They all went up to Chad who
was slowly getting up. Amy took out her computer and
scanned him.

"He'll be okay," said Amy. Everyone else sighed in
relief.

Everyone was back in Raye's temple. They were talking
about the battle they just had.

"I thought that there were no more droids now," said
Luna. Artemis nodded in agreement.

"Maybe they aren't droids," said Raye. Everyone turned
to her in confusion.

"What do you mean," asked Lita, "You mean new
enemies?" Raye nodded her head.

"Where did you get that idea," asked Amy. Everyone
else looked at Raye, waiting for an answer.

"Last night," said Raye, "I had a strange dream. I
first thought of it as nothing. I have been having bad
dreams since Serena died. The dream was very foggy, I
wasn't able to make out the figures, but I saw five
figures standing. I couldn't make anything of them out
though. Then I saw a strange crystal. It wasn't the
silver crystal, but something else, then that was it."
Everyone nodded their heads.

"Strange," said Apollo, "I have a feeling that this
wasn't a dream, but a vision. A vision of new
enemies."

"What about the crystal," asked Raye.

"I don't know," said Apollo, "Maybe it was the silver
crystal."

"I know," said Lita, "Why don't you ask the fire?"
Raye's eyes opened wide.

"Good idea," said Raye. They all stood up and followed
her into the room with the sacred flame in it. They
all sat down around the flame and Raye sat down in
front of it.

"Sacred flame" said Raye, "Show us who these new
enemies are." The fire flickered like crazy and burnt
out. Everyone looked in shock.

"Huh," asked Raye, "That's impossible. The fire never
burns out." They all sat in silence for a few moments
before Troy stood up.

"That proves it," said Troy, "There must be new
enemies. I think that these enemies are so evil, they
actually caused the fire to burn out." Raye nodded.
Darien stood up.

"Well, I think it's time to go," said Darien. He
pointed at Reenie sleeping on the floor and everyone
nodded in understandment.

"See you guys tomorrow," said Darien. He picked up
Reenie and Troy opened the door for him. Troy walked
back into the room and sat down next to Lita. The
looked at each other and began to drown in each
other's eyes. Everyone giggled at the two in their
trance.

"Well," said Mina, "I think it's time to leave now."
Artemis nodded and hopped onto her shoulder.

"Bye guys," said Mina. Raye waved goodbye. Troy and
Lita were still in their trance and never noticed Mina
leaving.

"I guess I have to go to," said Luna, "Tell me if you
get any more visions." Raye nodded.

"Bye," said Raye and Apollo. Luna walked out of the
room. Raye turned towards Apollo.

"How you," asked Raye.

"I'll just stay here and watch these two," said
Apollo. Raye giggled before nodding.

Darien walked into his apartment, still holding the
sleeping girl in his arms. He gently lied her down on
the couch and pulled the blanket over her.

"Goodnight," said Darien. He bent over and kissed her
on the forehead before walking into his room. He sat
down on the bed and dropped his head into his hand.

"What a day," said Darien, "Who are these new enemies?
I thought they were all gone now that the Death
Phantom is dead." He sat in thought for about ten
minutes before giving up.

"I'm too tired to think right now," said Darien. He
reached towards his night table and took a gold locket
off it. He studied the locket for a moment before
opening it to listen to its beautiful melody.

"Serena," said Darien. He sat down for about twenty
minutes, listening to the music from the locket, the
symbol of their love before falling peacefully to
sleep.

A figure appeared from the darkness. It had long dark
green hair and was wearing strange clothes. Its
clothes were a hard material, almost like armor, that
pressed perfectly to the feminine body, matching every
curve perfectly. Her eyes were hidden by the darkness
as she stood still.

"Master," said the figure, "Morgran failed."

"I know," said a figure sitting on a throne. Only its
legs could be seen, the rest of its body hidden in the
darkness. It had a female voice.

"What now," asked the other person.

"Send out Mitro," said the person in the throne, "We
must get rid of those scouts if we are to retrieve it
without their interference."

"But why destroy the scouts? Why don't we just go
after it and the scouts won't know?"

"We cannot take that chance. They'll find out. Trust
me, they will. Now do as I told you."

"Yes, master." The turned around and vanished in the
darkness.
