Dainel said to write more. . .and I did. . .so here's chapter two of "Purposeal". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapater Two: "Purposing difficultly" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mamoru looked into the mirror on that hung on thw wall by his bed, straighening his bow tie. He had chosen his finest clothing for this night. A white tuxedo, with gold satin lining the edges of the jacket. His cumberbun was a beautiful blue, like the colour of the sky of a brisk fall morning. Mamoru touched his right pants pocket, then reached inside and pulled out a small black box. He opened the box and gazed at the diamond ring inside. The ring was truely beautiful. It had a large diamond in the center, then smaller stones of amber and saffier surrounding it. The mentel was silver, notbecause Mamoru was cheap, but because the silver seemed to fit with the rest of the ring wonderfuly. He smiled, then closed the box carfully, and placed it back in his pocket. Mamoru hurried down the stairs of his apartment building. He opened the door to a convertable, which he rented for the occastion. The converable was white, which tan leather seats. He put on his seat belt, then headed off for Usagi's house. Since Usagi moved out of her parents home when she was about 19, she had an aparment of her own, which she mangaged to keep with the pay from he job as a secratery. Mamoru dove for about 10 minuets, then reached her apartment building. It seemed like it took forever to drive there. Mamoru hurried up the stairs to the third floor, because the elevator was broken. He rung her doorbell, and waited. After aout 5 minuets, he finally heard Usagi coming towards the door. She unlocked it, and stood before him, a smile on her face. He smiled too, but was disappionted that she didn't find it nessary to dress up for this evening. Which was extremly odd. Usagi loved to dress fancly. She even once dressed fancly to attened a movie across town. Mamoru was puzzled, but hi it well. "Hello, Mamoru," Usagi said, smiling. "Are we going now?" Mamoru suddenly felt nervous. "Y-yes. . ." he offered her his elbow, but inside of slipping her arm threw it, she walked passed him. Mamoru was even more puzzled, but agian, he hid it. Usagi smiled at the sight of the car. "Do you like it?" Mamoru asked, smiling. "It's okay. . ." Usagi opened the passanger door and put on her seat belt. Mamoru stood on the sidewalk, dumbfounded. Her words repeted in his mind over and over. . ."It's okay. . .". He didn't get it. She loved convertables. Well, she used to any how. Now Usagi apperntly couldn't care less about it. In the distance, he heard something, intruping his thoughts. "Mamoru-chan?" it was Usagi, tring to snap him back into reality. "Oh. Gomen Usako." he smiled, but still was troubled. "Well, c'mon, get in. We're going to the beach, remember?" she smiled, closing her eyes as she did so. Mamoru slipped around to the drivers seat, buckled up, and they set off. In the car, Mamoru turned on the radio to a local classical music station, turning down the music so it was soft. Mamoru looked over at her and smiled, but she was looking away, with her arm over the side of the car, gazing at the people on the sidewalk. Mamoru looked away, and stared straigh ahead, with a troubled look on his face. Usagi was differnt, and he wasn't sure if he wanted her to be.
