And now, Acting with an Angel~ Chapter 5- Good Morning Sunshine ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Darien." Someone whispered in my ear. I guess I'd fallen asleep. I opened my eyes to find that someone was Serena. She looked so pretty, even in the morning. Her blond hair looked like gold in the soft sun, her face was a creamy ivory, and her bright blue eye's shined with mischief. She truly was a goddess. "Yes Sere?" I liked waking up to see her, it was something I could definitely get used to. "Dar~bear, it's time to go I'm all checked out and your dad's ready. He's going to take us home, then he's going to work." She smiled up at me from her bed. She had been though all that with Cindy and she wasn't even bitter or upset, in fact she was smiling, and not a fake smile, but a real smile, a smile full of happiness. "Okay let's go." I helped into a wheel chair that was next to her bed. My parents were at the door waiting for me. As we entered the elevator my mom informed me that I wouldn't go to school today. Normally I would have been excited, but I was too tired to think straight. I helped Serena into the car, and then I fell asleep. *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A Few Hours Later ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~* *Remember Prince, Remember!!* I sat straight up and looked down, my clothes were drenched in sweat. My head hurt and I was having a hard time breathing. I glanced up. I was at home, in my room. "Man, what time is it?" I turned towards my desk, *Great, it's only 11:30 am!* I thought about getting up, but nope I wanted to stay in bed. *Serena's here! You gotta go get dressed!* So maybe there was one minor setback to her staying here. =) *Okay a quick five minute shower then I'll go check on her.* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~* Five Minutes Later *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Mom?! Mom?!" I yelled, but no one was answering. She's not in the kitchen, not in the yard, hmmm. "Yo, Dar~bear!" Serena's voice was coming from the living room. I guess she's up. I found her sitting in the living room. Her hair was down and her lip wasn't swollen anymore, it didn't even look cut. She was wearing tan shorts and a light pink tank top with a small bunny on it. She looked up at me with her bright blue eyes and smiled, she was up to something, but what? "Darien," She beamed to me, " I was wondering since your moms not here…umm…can you do my hair?" I hadn't done her hair since we were little kids normally she did it, but she was probably too weak. *What if the guys found out I was good at doing hair? They would torment me, but I really can't refuse Serena. Damn! * "Sure Meatball Head! I'd be happy to." I said as I took a seat next to the angel. *Okay Dar, this should be easy. Just twist the hair a bit to…. no, turn it to the….no that's not right, loop it through….* After about twenty minutes I'd finally finished. I took Sere's hand and walked her over to a mirror. "Prefect Dar~bear!!" She squealed happily, then threw her arms around my neck. I embraced her. *This feels so right.* I smirked to myself as the beautiful angel stood in my arms, My Angel. "Yikes!! Were gonna be late Dar, let's move!" She broke free of me, then ran into the kitchen and grabbed out a picnic basket. Before I could even ask what was going on she rushed into my room and grabbed two jackets. "Sere, what's going on?" I hadn't the slightest idea as to what she was doing. She rushed into the room tossed my jacket to me and handed me a cooler. "We're going to be late!" She yelled to me from the bathroom. She ran over to me and gave me her jacket and two hairpins. I shot her a puzzled look. "I forgot to tell you, were going to meet the gang in the park. They want to talk to us about something very important." "Important," I spoke up, "like what?" I still had NO idea what was going on. I helped her with her jacket. "Well, it's going to be a surprise, they just called from school about an hour ago, so your mom and I made a picnic lunch for everyone." I looked at Serena funny did she just say, she made the lunch!? I hadn't really had any of Serena's cooking since I was six, and trust me it was no joy back then. She'd try to feed me mud pies! YUCK! BRRRRRIIINNNG! BRRRRIIINNNG! *Great the phone.* I walked into the kitchen to answer it. "Hello?" I spoke into the phone. No one answered though. I wondered who was there. "Darien? Where………………….." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
