She has appeared on practically every television show ever created. She co-starred in such immortal favorites as "Freaky Friday" and "The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again". She's left-handed. Yet she will apparently always be known as the ugly broad from "Laugh In" (she of the hairnet, ill-fitting sweater, and prudish ways.) Even now, as she strives to teach others on "Sesame Street", her name is a punch-line for bad jokes about hideous women who will never get laid. However, the truth is that she is not the least bit unattractive, and has probably had sex a number of times. Maybe it's just because her name is "Ruth Buzzi"! Had she changed it early on, to something more harmonious and flowing, like, say, Ruth Robinson Peete, she might have gained the respect she so richly deserves. But she selflessly clung to her given name, so that the world might have one more cheap laugh. Truly a generous soul.
