For bringing the world the penultimate representation of Morticia Addams, Carolyn Jones will, and indeed MUST, be worshipped and praised throughout eternity. Born in 1929 in Amarillo, Texas, Miss Jones far exceeded anyone's expectations by portraying the aforementioned "Tish" as an object of perfection, to be desired (and imitated, by countless Goth girls!). This one role would have established her immortality, yet she accomplished so much more. She graced the screen in such films as "The Tender Trap", "The Seven Year Itch", "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" and "How the West was Won". A six-minute appearance in "The Bachelor Party" led to an Oscar nomination for Supporting Actress. She was even in a film with the delightful title of "Color Me Dead"! (Surely Morticia would have approved!) We remember enjoying her wit and wisdom on the TV gameshow "Password", where she talked about writing a diet book called "This Tutu, Solid Flesh". Further evidence of her greatness was a recurring role on the "Batman" show as the villainess "Queen of Hearts". And final proof of her fabulousness can be found in the fact that she was married to Aaron Spelling for 12 years! (This was before Tori entered the scene, of course.) Miss Jones' physical self succumbed to cancer in 1983, but she continues to awe and inspire to this very day.
