A common refrain over the years has been "Just who IS Jaye P. Morgan and why on earth is she famous?" Little do people know the valuable contributions Ms. Morgan has made to the world of entertainment, and to pop culture as a whole. This saucy singer, actress and nightclub performer actually had a few hit singles in the '50s, eventually hosting her own TV show. But it wasn't until the 1970s that her Forgotten Diva status was assured, for it was then that she became a regular on the trilogy of terror that was "The Gong Show", "The $1.98 Beauty Show", and "The Chuck Barris Rah Rah Show". Not to mention just about every other game show known to man. Yes, the '70s were a heady time for Jaye P., for she also starred in "The Gong Show Movie", and recorded "Hexorcist: A Devil of an Album". A talk show she hosted, featuring lovely ladies modeling lingerie and swimwear, was deemed too bawdy for television. She also made an instructional video titled "Cooking With Beefcake", in which she cooks up various cuisine while assisted by 8 hunky kitchen helpers clad only in mini-aprons, neckerchiefs, and chefs hats. If there is any question remaining as to why Jaye P. Morgan is utterly fabulous, this should dispel all doubts: she recently recorded "Jaye & Kaye", an album with her long-time friend and fellow Forgotten Diva, Kaye Ballard!
