Upon hearing his voice, anyone would come to the same conclusion: Jimmy Sommerville is a Diva with a capitol D. And that's D as in DISCO, for Jimmy is nothing if not a Disco Queen. With hit covers of "Don't Leave Me This Way", "Never Can Say Goodbye", "I Feel Love", and "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)", it's obvious that he knows his fan base! Sommerville first unleashed his awesome powers on the world with the first Bronski Beat album, featuring the club hits "Why" and "Smalltown Boy" (destined to become anthems for a generation of outsiders, both gay and straight). Further proof of his fabulosity include working with Marc Almond, and feuding with Boy George (who at one point said he thought Jimmy Sommerville rather looked like a potato!). Come to think of it, what diva worth her crown HASN'T feuded with Boy George? Jimmy also made a brief appearance in the wonderous ForgottenDiva film "Orlando". He recently released a new single called "Dark Sky", which promises to be as haunting and beautiful...and FABULOUS as everything else he has released.
JIMMY SOMMERVILLE IS A DISCO DIVA NOT TO BE FORGOTTEN!!!
