WHAT IS GISD LIKE?
With over 57,000 students, we are one of the largest school disricts in Texas Our students live in the cities of Garland, Rowlett, and Sachse. There are currently 8 high schools, 13 middle schools,47 elementary, 2 Pre-K Centers and 4 special programs campus sites in GISD with 1 high school and 2 more elementary schools planned over the next 4 years along with additions to 6 existing middle schools. We have over $50,000,000 worth of state textbooks and teacher materials. There are over 6,000 GISD employees. br>
