CALENDAR

This is a normal schedule of textbook activities for Garland ISD.

May 26-31
Textbook staff will pick-up all braille/large type materials.

June 7-June 10
Textbook staff will pick-up all out-of-adoption materials.
CHECK PICK-UP DATE ON TEXTBOOK NEWS LETTER
Materials should be places in boxes, recycle bins or on pallets.

June 6th
New textbooks are scheduled to be shipped by TEA to the GISD Warehouse

June 14
*******REPORTS DUE*******
TBK18 - Textbook Payment Report is due.
TBK20 - Textbook Rebind Report is due.
TBK25 - Textbook Annual Inventory Report is due.


Textbook Warehouse will be closed week of July 4th and most Fridays during the summer.

*******TEXTBOOK DELIVERIES*******
Secondary schools should start July 21.
Elementary schools will be July 7 to July 22.

August 2
New student data is rolled into next school year.
Based on these numbers a new order will be placed with TEA for additional textbooks.

Around August 23
First day of the school year

Around August 24
Schools may begin to place orders for textbooks to meet their needs starting the 2nd day of school.
