of Garland ISD'S textbook accountability system.
System Requirements
Unysis main frame computer
PCs need Windows
Novel network connects all of the districts computers together
TBK-program
The TBK program is written in Unysis's Mapper language by GISD programmers
Programs interface TBK with the GISD student data base
Programs interface TBK with the GISD course master
TBK-functions
Maintain inventory data for 100 different sites
Provides ISBN, cost, years of use, publisher, and title for over 1,400 items
Allows a campus to order textbooks (campus inventory and student enrollment)
Generates warehouse pull sheets
Generates 2-part transfer forms for delivery
Allows campuses to pay Textbook Office for lost textbooks
Allows campuses to report worn out or damaged textbooks
Provides annual campus inventory forms
Provides a history record for every transfer, pickup, or payment for each textbook
