Kelowna has a chilly winter, although it is not usually the extreme
cold of other parts of Canada. We often have a few inches
of
snowfall over night. The winter snow can pile up to about
12
inches, making the landscape a beautiful crisp white. At Christmas
many homes are decorated with colored lights which add a magical
glow to our snowy winter wonderland.
Welcome to a Kelowna Christmas and I hope you enjoy these few photos!
A little glimpse into my own home at Christmas!
This spectacular light display is a landmark seen thoughout Kelowna
each year!
A local building contractor makes this, his special tribute to Kelowna.
People
with their children, come from miles around to look in awe at these
thousands of lights,
visible from our main highway and many parts Kelowna.
Called the TREE OF HOPE, one can 'purchase' a light or several,
the money going to Christmas Charities.
Thanks, Al Stober Construction - for making our Christmas brighter!
This is another of Kelowna's Christmas sites to see! This
great little
display is put on by a business at the corners of Ethel and Sutherland.
Here is another view of it below:
It was snowing very slightly when I took these photos!
You
can almost step right into the street, be sure to zip up your jacket!
Where to next?
